Thank you for this link. It has been a problem since I was an in-country photographer in Vietnam. When I returned I was briefly detained by Oakland, California law enforcement for photographing a peace rally. It appears to be getting worst with the physical abuse that has increase by law enforcement on the public. If you get into a situation, just be careful.

Thank you for your information. It's a confusing world sometimes, people can fool us into believing that things like dpi/ppi are important and mean something.
Thank you for clearing up this issue.

Thank you. I was asked by a photography instructor to send some photos no more than 72 dpi. I was perplexed because I am used to PPI and did not understand dpi. Thank you again.

Hello One and All: I am trying to understand DPI and how to reduce it to 72 DPI? I would appreciate any assistance anyone can give. I am from the film era and am new to digital and computers.
Always learning...it's a trip. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I served in Vietnam from 1968 Oct. to 1970 Jan. I have may friends and relatives on the "Wall" and still have a bad feeling in my gut when I think about the experiences. My thought is this: The FBI will prosecute him if he is wearing or declared any metals of valor-or Purple Heart. If he really did not serve then run an editorial with pictures in the newspaper and inform the television programs that he was on and let them run the information. A word of caution, not all vets did thing which the US Government will admit such as MACVSOG AND HER SISTER ORGANIZATIONS. Do this, ask him what his service number is and then get a review of his military records, Freedom of Information Act. Anyway let the larger portion of the emotion subside. Don't let another's folly pull you into the Abyss.

I always have at least two cameras ready to shoot. this allows for use of different lens and lighting set ups. in my previous reply i suggested you scout out the location, during that time you could set up slave lights to be triggered by your camera when the situations call for them. just some suggestions hope they are of assistance.

Hello to all, in response to the one reply about not calling yourself a professional..well I am an old timer and we all learned on the job [been shooting since 1963] with everything from koni-omega rapid m to graphflex 8x10 format. Experience is the best teacher...there are always situations which surprise one and all...I would encourage everyone to do your best and be honest with the clients...if it is possible I always scout out the settings to get an idea of the exposure and any physical obstacles you may encounter. Good luck with your shoots.

Hello, If you are going digital with the portraits remember that your Canon is 1.6x the focal length and the standard full frame lens for this activity is 135mm in 35mm so on your camera that would be 85mm. This setup provides the best portrait size. Hope this helps.
