Wow, interesting. I guess I should mention it to the lady at our county extension office who said those were Asian beetles. I stand corrected.
Those aren't ladybugs. I believe they're Asian beetles, and they bite. They're good for the garden though, even their "porn stars".
Shouldn't you have said that you didn't take any of these pictures (or put them in General Chitchat)? I've seen all of them on the internet before.
Great action shot of the snail. :)
Now that's a great idea--antlers. I don't suppose you could put some on her?
I'm trying to design my Christmas cards and need a Santa hat put on Colby. I used to know how to do it when I used "Befunky.com". But they've redesigned their site and don't have hats anymore. I'd sure appreciate any help someone could give me. Thanks.
I sure hope you framed a copy of that and donated it to the fire department those men belong to. What a great shot.
Beautiful owl. We have tons of them around our house but hardly ever get to see them because they blend in with the trees so well.
He gets them from an email from Odd Stuff Magazine (but he seems to take credit for all the pictures he posts).
I know it's not a sweet gum because we have them in our back yard. I guess I'll have to head back to Olive Garden and see if I can peel off the bark.
Could be. Since the tree didn't have leaves yet, I couldn't tell.
Nope, they're golf ball sized.
I've been lurking on here for years now, but never post any pictures because I don't have a camera (just an iPhone). I was out today and saw this tree. The little things dangling looked like upside down hedgehogs to me. The tree was covered with them. I don't have a clue what kind of tree it is. So I just call it the "hedgehog tree".
