We spent last year in the Cotswolds and London during Christmas through New Years. We were walking around the wonderful Cotswold village we were staying in and we could see numerous families with their crowns on eating dinner on Christmas Day through the front windows!

Homicide Life on the Street -
Munch and another detective at the break room table. Brand new detective Bayliss asks where he can get some coffee. Munch tells him, "Upstairs." Bayliss leaves and the other detective says, "There's coffee right there." Munch - "THAT'S OUR COFFEE."

OK, I started going down the rabbit-hole of this thread for so many reasons. I drive a Chevy Colorado V6 "short bed" pickup, and I drove tractor-trailers through the five boroughs of NYC and out across Long Island and then into JFK to pick up air freight, in my former life. Then, I started privately driving a gentleman for the past 38 years. I have taken police driver and security driver training courses, and yes, I confess, once got a ticket for tailgating someone doing 50 MPH in the middle lane of the NJTPK at rush hour, when I couldn't be in the left lane with a commercial vehicle!!! One of my few tickets, mind you. There is a major problem with society today and drivers, in particular. Just yesterday, I saw a school bus follow a car through an already redlight after my light was green as the first car at the intersection!!! There are bad drivers out there. It doesn't matter what vehicle they are driving. Everybody wants justice to be done on someone else. AND, Jerry, I always appreciate you. You are the straw that stirs the drink! Cheers!!!

Ran out of gas pulling a travel trailer between Amarillo and Abilene. Hadn't seen anyone on the road for miles. Called AAA and started to wait in the 90 degree heat without any AC. 10 minutes later a black pickup pulls up facing the opposite direction and asked in a Southern drawl, "Got a flat tire?" No, we're just out of gas. "I'll get ya some gas." Thanks, but we've got AAA coming. "Oh, they're coming from Abilene. You'll be lucky if they get here in two hours. I'll get ya some gas." Off he goes and 10 minutes later he's back with a can of gas and wouldn't let me pay him a thing! "It'll all work out down the line, he said." I told Gilbert that I was confused because I always heard that angels have wings and didn't have any. He laughed and followed us to the next exit and a gas station and then turned around back up onto the highway. I told the story to the gas station attendant and he knew Gilbert. What started out as the beginning of a bad few hours, restored my faith that there are good people in this world.

Me thinks you know little of Bob Dylan's musical influences and even less of Arlo Guthrie's sense of humor.

There are numerous different accents even withing London. Ray Davies, of the Kinks, in his Storyteller cd talks about North Londoners, Southern Londoners, etc. One line he responds to a fellow Londoner and says, "I recognize that accent."

I doubt a Facebook "security" email would have the address as facebookmail.com. I'd follow everyone's advice of running antivirus and start a new page, if you really want one that badly. Cut your losses and as someone said it's only Facebook.

I don't know, I've been using iTunes for years and my only complaint is that sometimes the album artwork isn't available, which I understand since a lot of my music isn't produced by the big labels. 99% of my music I upload from my analog library and I'm pretty old-school in that I use an iPod for all of my music and nothing else. My phone is my phone and my music is my iPod- "Everything is in its place, authority must be maintained." (Victoria by the Kinks).

I drove tractor-trailers through the five boroughs and Long Island for ten years. Then when I started driving a wealthy "principle" I took driver-training courses for anti-terrorism and kidnapping prevention. Part of this included police driver training instruction. I am able to do 180 degree turns both going forward and reverse (Bootlegger and J-Turn). The ten and two is the correct way to hold the wheel, whether it is comfortable or not. Why do you think modern steering wheels have the "bumps" right there to make a better grip? Just saying.

1. Hold the steering wheel at the 8 and 4 positions. This prism prevents injury to your fingers, hands and arms if the airbag deploys. It's also more restful for your arms because they're not up high on the wheel. I have seen videos of police driving this way, so I'm not the only one. I have also seen recommendations for 9 and 3.

2. Open the driver's door with your right hand. When you do this, the door doesn't open as far, which is good if there is a bike or car passing by.

Rock and jazz are ageless. Watch this:

Old rock legends play with comparative youngsters. Tal and Jason are amazing, paired with Vinnie and Jeff.

The list of old rock and jazz legends Tal Wilkenfeld has played with is long and deep. She dropped out at 16 and escaped Australia for Los Angeles… three years later, she was playing with Jeff Beck.

That dvd is a great one to own. If you keep an eye out, you'll see Robert Plant nestled in the back smiling and enjoying the performance.

I still do. Rock is the only genre to use all genres.
Can't say I agree with your viewpoint of it being the cause of all our country's ills tho. It was not the cause of a police action that relieved our country's youth population. All those who had a problem with our government's duplicity. That problem still exists.
Woodstock may have been one of many symptoms, but surely not a cause.

Well said. I was there all of 18 years old. Survived all the problems and had some great times in spite of them. My father said upon my return home that if his generation were in that same environment with hard alcohol, it would have been a disaster. Woodstock woke up the music industry, realizing how much money there was to be made off of "the kids." In '68 and '69, I saw Jimi Hendrix at a Hunter College Auditorium and Cream at the gym of Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, NJ (with nuns flanking the stage!).
