I totally agree. As they, it's the little things that count!
Happy St. Patrick's Day.

I just wish they would ship my lens.... Ive been waiting 5 months.

There is someone on this forum that works at B&H. Have you reached out to him?
There must be a very good reason why they haven't shipped your lens. I can certainly understand your frustration.

Yes. They are my go to store. Sometimes, items I've ordered arrive the next day or a day a head of schedule!

What more could you ask for in a store. Maybe free stuff?!?

Yup, I get stuff from them, even hard drives and other gadgets.
(I'd rather support them than Best...)

Yes, they are very convenient for me. I take the train into Penn Station, and walk up to 9th Ave., to their store. I also like and order from Adorama, but don't go to their store because it's less convenient, and a smaller store. You have to wait, usually, just to speak to someone, or make a return, but they sometimes have items/or less than B&H, and so I order by phone or online. Hunt's Photo, is another one of my favorites, and once in a while I go to Cameraland, in Bethpage.
They are extremely helpful, and never try to sell you something. In fact, one time they spent about 15 minutes helping me, and even cleaned my lens for free, without me asking!!! I felt so guilty, I bought something, to resolve my guilt.
Have a great weekend. Mike

I ordered 2 Sd Cards, a standard card and a Mini SD card. It arrived exactly when they said it would by Fedex, but how it arrived surprised me. I thought it would be in a padded envelope, but instead, it arrived in a 3X12X9" box, wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap!!! I've ordered semi fragile items from some companies, where the items weren't wrapped as well.
B&H has an incredible service and shipping department, and it's no wonder why they enjoy such a great reputation.
I'm wondering, though, why they didn't send it in a padded envelope, which would be less expensive for them. Oh well, I guess they figure overkill is better than taking a chance of it being damaged during shipping. It's great store, great people, and incredible selection. Every time, I go into the city, it's my first stop, every time!

Thanks for sharing, Roni. Nice images, and as far as the transitions go, everyone has their own preference. Because it takes me so long to make a show, I try to keep it simple. I'm not very creative, and so I use basic transitions, and keep my shows at about 5 minutes or so, in duration.

I've never used Producer because Proshow Gold, seemed to be good for what I was doing.

Thanks again,

Mihael

Thank you for your suggestion.

Do you mean that I would have to make a show, save it, and then publish it?

I made a sample show, as I mentioned, and saved it to a USB drive. It worked only on the computer that I used to make the show. When I put the USB, into my other computer, the show opened, but there were no photos.

Thanks again, for your suggestion.

Thanks, Roni, for your reply.

I was hoping someone would know of a way to get around this issue, but I guess not.

I'm used to how Proshow works, and I can use it quickly, but since I don't use it very often, I was hoping for solution.

I know about Photopia, but since I may not use the program very often or at all, during the year, it doesn't seem economical.

I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Thanks again, for getting back to me, and have a wonderful Holiday.

Michael

Yes, my friend downloaded the newest version {9} to my laptop. I didn't want to download the new version to my desktop because I was afraid it might over ride or conflict with the current version, on my computer. Then I would be really up a creek with no paddle or boat!!!

Hi Al,

I don't have the disk, and so I don't want to uninstall the program because I'll lose all the music files.

Thanks.

Thanks, Alvin, for getting back to me so quickly. I know that the company closed in 2020, but I wasn't concerned because the program was still working fine on my desktop computer.

As I mentioned, it works on Windows 11. I can make a show & save it, but if I open it up, on my Windows 7 desktop, the photos are all gone. My desktop, has some music files, and that's why I wanted to open it with my desktop computer.

Thanks again.

I've been able to use Proshow Gold, sine the company closed, on my Windows 7, desktop computer, including some of the royalty free music.
It also worked on my laptop, which was Windows 10, but would crash from time to time. However, when I upgraded to Windows 11, it stopped working and would crash all the time.
A friend of mine found Proshow Gold 9, and installed it on my laptop, and it works, but without the music files. So, I did a test slide show, and saved it, on a USB drive, and then opened it on my desktop system. The show opens, but all the photos are gone! I've tried this a few times, but to no avail. My reasoning was to make the show, on my laptop, save it, and open it on my desktop, to add the music.
I know what the comments are going to be-why not just make the show on the desktop. The reason is, I use my laptop 99% of the time.
If anyone has had a similar problem and was able to get the program to run, on Windows 11, I would sincerely, love to know how you achieved it.
Any constructive suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In the last few weeks I have met and spoken with several professional photographers, who do real estate photography, portraits, and headshots. It was interesting to learn how their rates varied. One of the photographers was based in Florida, and one was from California. The other two were based on Long Island, and the New York City area.

I'm curious to learn what other professional photographers are charging in different areas of the United States, and in other countries.

I understand if you don't want to post on this page, but you can PM me, instead.

Thanks and Happy Mother's Day.
