Well, I'll add my two cents by saying get a can of electric cleaner and spray it on a silk cloth........
I managed to capture him with a 800mm lens.
This is the reason I never post any comments.
A high percentage of people are generous with their contributions but displays like this is cause for concern bordering on childlessness.
My two cents.
To be frank, I don't know how to navigate very well and it took me some time to figure out how to put it here.
Can't stop taking pictures of this Wood Duck plus one other.
Thank you. With a subject like that, it's hard to mess up.....
These pictures were taken with the following specifications: Camera Model Canon EOS-1D X
Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/2500
Av( Aperture Value ) 14.0
Exposure Compensation -2/3
ISO Speed 1600
Lens EF800mm f/5.6L IS USM +1.4x III
Here's my great Blue Heron shot you might like.

Your more than welcome. I don't believe there is a more multi colored duck on earth, but I'm not a birder.
This guy was extremely illusive.
Finally captured him with a 300mm /W 1.4 extender, ISO 1000 @ F/13
Ah, that was terrific and well written.
As you must be aware, my bigger lenses are IS (thank God ) and I've learned if I don't go over the capabilities of my equipment factoring in ISO, F stops, etc. I can get fairly good results.
If you wish, you can Email me and I would be glad to send you a little collage of my pic's.

The people that know me can vouch for my statement,
I hand hold all my lenses up to the 800mm. (I use a lot of ISO)
Ooops, further clarification......... Never was disappointed with the lens........on me, many occasions.
As far as hand holding lens, I get a much better % of capture of diving eagles or alike grabbing fish out of the water than I would using a tripod.
Enjoyed your humor.
The people that know me can vouch for my statement,
I hand hold all my lenses up to the 800mm. (I use a lot of ISO)
The attached was shot with the 70-200 f/2.8 non IS. hand held.
I've shot thousands of pictures from wildlife to as shown, day or night with this lens and never been disappointed. ( always hand held )
Save you money...........

A few shore plants, and this little Green Heron thought he was successfully camouflaged.
Tough shot, well done.
Just to let you know, I was chastised for putting my picture in as you just did. Apparently, it's "bad form" which consequently, I will no longer associate myself with this website.
I felt this website was to help people, share and discuss different topics for the good of everyone belonging.
Apparently, I was wrong and will terminate my membership.
BTW, I've really enjoyed your input on many occasions,
