👍 although mine would need “forties”
Also, I like this one
And I like the addition of the glass
WOW THANKS
of course some of the photos make a point for having a backup camera 😀
First I apologize for not being able to respond sooner. I have read all the responses to my question. As usual a lot of good info and varying options based on experience. I’m an old fart, non professional, with many years of 35mm film/slide photography. Switched to a cropped digital quite a few years ago and have wanted to upgrade to full frame, but being retired on a fixed income I couldn’t justify spending thousands on a full frame body. But just purchased a Nikon D610 package with battery grip from Adorama. It came with a Nikon battery and a Green Extreme battery.
My original question had to do with purchasing a few Nikon batteries, as I don’t want to take any chances re the warranty - use the Green Extreme as a backup for now. The concern is whether the much less expensive “original Nikon” advertised on eBay are real or fake. With what all has been stated here I will pay the higher price from my trusted sources B&H or Adorama. But I thank all and will be looking at some of your other brand recommendations for additional backup.
I want to purchase some Nikon EN-EL15a batteries so I started my search by going on line to my favorites - B&H and Adorama. I then checked on eBay - original only no other brands.
Huge price difference - approximately $60 vs $20 on eBay (shipping from Calif - did not include any shipping from China)
Anyone have experience with eBay sellers for batteries?
Thanks
Paid taxes last year (no refund) When my wife and I go to the IRS site to provide bank info after entering SSN, DOB, address and clicking continue we get “According to information that we have on file, we cannot determine your eligibility for a payment at this time.” and only have a choice of exiting- no way to enter bank info.
Anyone know what this means and any other way to provide bank info?
I just upgraded from a D90 to the D610 a few weeks ago. Very pleased.
Suggest you also look at Adorama - they have multiple packages with additional items for the same price.
My wording on the original post seems to be misleading, sorry.
When I asked about using the same lens, what I meant was if I take a picture using the 12mp DX with a 50mm DX lens (angle of view = 75 for FX) and take a picture from the same spot using a 24mp FX with a 50mm FX lens (not crop factor/DX lens) and then crop the FX pic in post to the same angle of view as that from the DX camera, will I have a better picture than the DX or will they have same quality
Hope this wording clarifies
Thanks for all the great info from this group - I have greatly improved my photos from reading the HOG.
Looking for clarification
I have a Nikon D90, 12 mp.
If I go to a full frame 24 mp,
I understand that a pic with the same field of view would be better - 24 vs 12 mp for the same photo.
But if I take a picture with each from the same position with the same lens and then crop the FX to the same field of view as the DX will I have a better picture? Or will I have a 12 mp picture the same quality as the DX?

If you have a Mac you can use Preview;

2. Click 'Command' and 'I' keys together
3. In the window that opens up, click on the tab with the label 'i'
4. Click on the 'Nikon' tab
5. The camera shutter count is number five on the list of items.

I think your idea is great — and my background is an engineer 😂, but my love is photography and I enjoy seeing originality
My wife is the artist.
So, my thoughts, keep shadows only but turn it around with a “glass” with the bruises sticking out brush end up
But then again what you did requires a little visual thought 👍🏼
