I have wood floors in my computer room and it amazes me how much dust accumulates in a day or two after cleaning. Does anyone have experience using air purifiers do they really help?

Do you have a positive pressure in your house? Positive pressure will use filtered air to fill your house with clean air and the dust from the outside will stay outside, except for the dust brought in on shoes and clothes!

I think the biggest reason people donā€™t want to wear a mask, is breathing their own foul breath! šŸ¤®

The more we slow the progression of this disease, the longer it will be around

You need to cite your logic! If the virus is slowed, that means there are less cases for it to grow, if it canā€™t grow it will eventually die of exposure to the air, sunlight, and lack of a growth media! As far as I know it does not lie dormant, it tends to become ineffective after it dries out and dies! It needs an active host to spread its progeny! So by using masks, social distancing, washing and bathing often, you are denying it the tools it needs to multiply! Thus speeding its removal from effective propagation! Any life form that is denied what it needs to Live and multiply will eventually die!

The U.S. has all the resources to produce PPEā€™s, masks, coveralls, and the like. All it takes is a manufacturer who sees a profit in producing them! And the will to do it! As for the medical shortage of PPEā€™s, it is the same reason for toilet paper shortages, hoarding of supply, and overpricing of remaining stocks! Hospitals prefer disposable Masks and gowns, using more durable and reusable breathing apparatusā€™s is not only cost prohibitive but allows t***sfer of bacteria and v***ses from room to room! Because they rely on disposables the hospitals are at the mercy of hoarders. The supply chain for hospitals are especially difficult in a panic situation. Profit rules the roost, and hospitals donā€™t want to sit on thousands of dollars of inventory that may or may not be needed. The CDC, and FEMA are restricted to similar restraints! In a situation like the C***d cases, production is throttled down because of a lack of people willing or able to work. So, in normal times, when there is no need for emergency stocks, production is more than adequate, during a p******c it is restricted by the inability to field healthy, and willing labor, and by profitability of producing a product at an affordable price!

Everyone who doesn't agree with Trump has to attack others by saying things like you just said, and you claim to be an educated Doctor. I never said I agree with everything Trump stands for and I'm not looking to buy anyone's flim-flam (not film-flam). I had to make a choice between Trump and Hillary Clinton. The choice was easy to make! This Country has had enough of the Clintons.
And the choice you made was much worse than even Bill Clinton. The Republicans played you and all the other Bill Clinton h**ers for fools! His wifeā€™s only flaw was to marry him, but she married for love not his fortune like Trumps wives. She spent time in the Senate where she navigated the good ole boys club and outwitted them, she then was asked to be President Obamaā€™s Secretary of State! Again she did as well as any man to occupy the office. The Republicans v**ed not to supply the B******i consulate with better defenses, it was not Clintonā€™s decision! Hillary Clinton was the best ā€œManā€ for the presidency! The Republicans smear tactics of alledge and run proved to be her downfall! And now you are bending over backwards to protect your poor choice v****g for Trump!

And who supported fracking, Obama?

Might want to do a bit more research on this statement! The Obama administration worked hard to reduce oil dependence! They made many regulations regarding water safety! Fracking began many decades before Obamaā€™s administration!
If you are going to throw stones better look at Bush, both Sr. and Jr.

I doubt that the US government has ever directly moved a US manufacturing facility to China.

Corporations have made the decisions to move production out of the US. Many reasons for this, but profit maximization and maximizing shareholder return are clearly major decision points.
I agree totally!
Additional factors will include: Companies not willing to pay workers fair wages. Regulations that required businesses to clean up processes to reduce water pollution and air pollution.

I contend that it is corporate profit decisions that is the number one reason manufacturing has moved overseas.

L*****t politics that have de-industrialized the west.

Horse pucky, put the blame squarely where it belongs, Donald Trump has done everything in his power to make this problem worse! He ignored it from the beginning, he has insisted the states open for business as usual before the v***s flatlined, he is now trying to open schools even through the spike! Left wing politics had nothing to do with moving industry from America! Corporate greed did that! Greedy Capitalists moving production to countries where there is no unions, no regulations, and cheap labor is at fault!
And guess who champions Capitalism? The Republican Party!

The Airlines can not offer any guarantees you will not encounter the virus! And traveling to Florida with itā€™s upsurge of Covid-19 cases may not be the best choice for a vacation destination! Delaying your vacation til next year, or even the year after, may be a more prudent choice!

The USB is not brand sensitive, if the circuit was overloaded the fuse would Have blown, if the fuse block was installed correctly it shouldnā€™t have been damaged. Replacing a fuse should not cost near as much as you were charged.
Inept repairmen is more likely the real problem. Or more probably the dealership is abusing the warranty to collect money from the manufacturer!

This pandemic has opened many possibilities to be optimistic.
Even though many have, and will succumb to it, the slow down has proven beneficial. Less traffic equates to less traffic fatalities. Less traffic equates to less pollution. Gas prices are at a low we havenā€™t seen for decades. The oil producers are finding low prices equate reduced drilling, less fracking, greater opportunity to research alternate energy. While the virus is creating havoc, we will come out of the crisis with a better handle on how to proceed, how to better fight the next one. We will find, the crisis will teach us how to deal with diminished supplies, and food! The human race is resilient. When the economy restarts there will be a huge demand for labor. The economy will rebound quickly. There is a silver lining to this worrysome cloud!
