Looking in the manual, it never shows a 'master' flash off-camera.

First thing is, make sure the 622's work. A number of other hoggers have had problems with those.
When you fire the shutter, does the slave indicate that it's trying to fire the flash?
Does it fire the 430?

If it fires the 430, then set the 580 like it was on-camera.

If at this point it fires the 580, then you're going to need another 622 to be the trigger for the 430.

I think you're asking the 622's to pass 'master' information that they weren't designed to pass. They are intended to extend the normal TTL information between the camera and the flash.

I do know that my 622 does work and I have not had any problems with them. I just thought I could use the 580 in master mode and use it as a flash and also let the 430 fire with both flash's in E-TTL mode. So I guess I will have to get another trigger or another flash and keep the 580 on camera.

Hi all I am having a little problem with my Canon 580exii flash staying in master mode when I have a trigger attached to it.

My setup is a Canon 5Dmkiii a 430exii flash and a 580exii flash and 2 Yongnuo 622-c triggers. I can put the 580 on camera and it will stay in master mode and will fire the 430 with no problems. I place my triggers on and make sure the 580 is in master mode but when I half push the camera shutter button the master mode goes away and will not fire the 430 which is in slave mode.

I have cleared all flash custom settings but still the same way. Is it my triggers that want do this or does the 580 have to be on the camera.

Thanks in advance

The Phase One website will have a listing of exactly what bodies that back is available for. Suffice it to say that if you can afford the back, you can afford the camera. Those setups are definitely a rich mans game!

Dang MT you beat me to the punch.

Hey guys,
I was searching around on the DxOMark website that another member pointed out to me, and checking out which cameras are getting the highest ratings and came across this product that, even after visiting their website, is confusing. It is a Phase One IQ180 Digital Back. I went to the Phase One website and there are some impressive specs listed (80 MP!) but it says it is a camera back! A back that fits what? There is nothing saying what kind of camera these backs fit. So is their system a complete camera? If so why do they call it a camera back and not a camera? I'm just baffled about what exactly this is. Anyone care to elucidate, elaborate and educate?
Thanks!
Dennis

craggycrossers, I look forward to your answer.

This is from my Nephew's cell phone. He is staying in a motel room training for USA trucking and his buddy took a pic of him and they noticed that there was something else in the photo. So he sent it to me to do a little PP to it. He said there was no one else in the room. This is a older motel with alot of stories that go with it.

The first pic is straight from the cell phone look in the upper left part of photo.

The second pic is the crop and some PP done to it.

This is just weird
