Going to take a trip where the safety/care of my 5DM3 and lens will be questionable. Naturally I want to be able to take photos, I am looking for something that wont be too obvious, can be concealed easily and is pretty rugged yet take raw images. Could be either a fixed lens or zoom but with fast glass.
Prefer no flash and high ISO capability. Your experiences please. Like to keep budget under $1500.
Go to KEH and pick up the canon 100mm f2.8 . I got one for around 700.
My wonderful wife on 38 years is in hospital ICU on a ventilator fighting for her life. Ten days ago she went to the Dr. with a dry cough which for about a week she treated with OTC cough syrups. The Dr. sent her for chest Xrays and they came back as Pneumonia in both lungs which was strange because she has no fever and was not spitting anything up. The gave her two massive shots of antibiotics and a Z pack(antiboitics) for 5 days.
On the 21st back to the Dr. for recheck and blood work which was normal. On the 25th I found her lying on the floor unresponsive, called 911 paramedics had her at the hospital in ten minutes. Hospital emergency doctors had her on O2 and IV's with in 30 minutes they told me she was in SEPTIC Shock, turns out the pneumonia was viral and they are not quite sure at this time what else is going on but her liver and kidney functions have stopped. They are putting her on dialysis in the morning to get fluids out of the body.
I am asking for your prayers that might give the doctors the wisdom and her the strength to fight this off. I will probably not be online as hospital doesn't offer guest internet or I have not figured it out yet. Thank you all!
Yeah that flex seal will foat a boat with a screen door in the bottom!! I think you will need a lot!! Nice picture of a restoration project. I could probably get her ship shape for around $40,000 US.
Come on 4am! Just getting to sleep good. I bet you got the opportunity to shoot some interesting characters at that time. Like the perspective that lens gives, another to add to my wish list.
Very nice and handheld! What was exposure time?
#3 really catches my eye. Beautiful colors all well done.
Sounds really great except what happens to the investors in these big bad oil companies who have a stake in them with their 401K's, mutual funds, college funds, people who are retired and depend on the dividends from such companies? What comes next The Twinkie bakery. I challenge you to name one major thing our government has run that comes close to being called a success. Right now federal employees are a significant part of our economy and the only part that actually contributes nothing to our GNP. So I guess if you gave them the oil industry to try and run it will surely succeed this time.
I think dpullem is seriously pulling our leg or he has been inhaling too much funky smoke. Our government running anything is a joke. Give them the oil producers and refineries and in five years we will all need camels.
I like it, but found I'm drawn to trying to read whats on the paper!
I think you did a good job capturing the BIF.
Great series, I really like the stone work in these old buildings. Imagine what it was like back in the day to build them.
I have one question, does Phred have his own bag or does he fit in your camera beg? Great shot I really like it. I have Dead Phred's brother in my front yard next to bell post and flag pole but he ain't much for traveling.

I'm so glad for you. SMILE
Regardless - warm air - rice - gel packs - I feel they all contributed and you did good trying them all.

PS: About urban myths - I ate 12 oysters and 8 of them worked.
