What are your size restrictions. Are you doing carry-on or checked baggage? What will you be using to carry equipment when out photographing on your trip? Does the bag or pack or whatever have straps or a pocket for a tripod?

Not sure how all your questions would help but here goes.

I will be carrying a backpack on board, and checking one bag. I will be using a backpack when out shooting.

I would prefer to carry the tripod separately, not on my backpack. That is what I do with my tripod now. I have a strap on it for easy carrying. It is a carbon fiber tripod, but it is a bit bulky. I have put it in checked baggage on previous trips.

I will be traveling for a few photography trips coming up. I have a great carbon fiber tripod but it is bigger than the standard travel tripods.
I am looking for some recommendations. I do have a tripod head that I like and can use with a travel tripod.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Back in 2012 I was talking to some Adobe reps at an event here in San Diego. I got a very interesting delineation from them about Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Lightroom, and Photoshop: "Photoshop is the whole shop. Lightroom is a room in the shop. Elements are pieces in the room." Do you want the whole shop, just a room, or just some pieces?

Interesting comparison. I have been using Photoshop for the past 18 years. This was before lightroom came out. I have never been able to make the change to using LR. It just seems more time consuming to me to start with LR and then go to PS and then back to LR. A few years back, at a conference, one of the *photoshop guys* was giving a lecture on LR. After the class I went up to him, explaining I don't use LR, I learned on PS and that is where I am more comfortable processing images. His response...* I have to teach LR but I use PS for my own personal editing.*

An alternative to ps & lr is Skylum's Luminar. It is a one time charge. If interested you can use a trial to see if you like it. I have a discount code if interested, pm me.

I bought this book when I got my new Nikon D500. It was a great help but I am now wanting to sell it. It is from rockynook, book was originally $45. I will sell for $25 plus shipping costs.

Oh, really, Roni? ... And, how often have they accepted your offers? ... How far below the MSRP, were they, on average?

My offers have been accepted several times. I saved about $100-200 thru Greentoe. Most recent was a Tamron 150-600 lens. I saved about $150. I have several friends who have also bought photography gear thru Greentoe.

Is smugmug hard to set up for a non techie and what is the cost.

I use Zenfolio to set up 2 websites. They have templates to make it easier to set up a website. There are different prices depending on what you want. I have been very happy with the support and with the two sites.

I know a lot of people use Smugmug. What made me chose Zenfolio, was at the time, several years ago, there was a link on the bottom of Smugmugs pages that went to their site not to the photographers.

I have used Greentoe several times. I also found the response to messages/emails was very quick.

I never had the issue you seem to be having.

I have never used the folder set up in any of my Nikons. I know by the dates listed when the images were taken, if I am using the same memory card for a few days of shooting.

I bought the book, *Mastering the Nikon D500* from RockyNook.
I am willing to sell this to anyone interested. Cost was $45, I will sell for $25 plus shipping.

I often have clients contact me directly to order images. I have them printed at Adoramapix. I do charge them the shipping cost, but it is usually much less than those ordered directly from my website.
