Didn't you know that everything east of the San Andreas fault will fall into the Atlantic Ocean!

My take on Palouse falls after visiting last week. There are very few options other than from the designated overlook. However, its still a magnificent view and the waterfalls are beautiful...What a state waterfall?

History; Washington has a state bird, a state flower, a state tree, a state fossil and state song, and a host of other official state items. Why not a state waterfall?

What could have been a simple school project has evolved into a large, and impressive, undertaking for students at Washtucna Schools during the past few months in 2014. The students have officially submitted House Bill 2119, a bill to officially designate Palouse Falls as the state waterfall.

After months of research and study, five students stood in front of state legislators and testified at a hearing for the bill. The students were provided with two minutes to discuss why Palouse Falls should become the official state waterfall....Long story short, After six months of hard work and determination, third through sixth grade students in the Washtucna School District, pushed through a bill that made Palouse Falls the state waterfall.

If you're in the area, south central Washington, its definitely worth the trip into the boondocks to see this small state park and waterfall. Sorry but it was in bright sunshine and in the middle of the day....Cheers and thank you for the recommendation Mike...

Although it cost the great sum of one dollar for the plastic bucket from the store of the same name, it has defeated every critter in the three years that they have attempted to get to the bird seed. The feeder is about six feet off the ground. Only tool needed is a hole saw for the center of the bucket bottom. I have not patented it, so its my gift to all.

I'll still bet on the squirrel

Gremlin was, shall we say, a less than ideal car. The Rambler, if I remember right, had seats that folded down flat, making it ideal to take a date to the drive in movies

Texaco, a frugal oil company, bought Ramblers for its field geologists to save motel expense!

This beauty was parked at our favorite BBQ restaurant a while back...these are cell phone photos and I almost didn't post them. Finally replaced my old cell phone with a new Samsung S21 and am happy with the photos, like the above, it captures.

I wanted to share something completely different from my usual genre. Last week Zi went diving in Cozumel. Despite many equipment failures, extremely strong currents and a few other fails, I still managed to catch this lovely eagle Ray swimming by.. I processed in both color and monochrome. Which do you prefer? Thank you

the color makes me feel as if I am alongside you

A few summers ago I was meandering around Tuscany and I fell in love with the sunflower fields. This capture is not photoshopped, I was just at the right place at the right time. Yes, I added a little texture and sharpening and perhaps a bit of vibrance but the scene was as is. Sometimes you get lucky. Have a great week 😊 I downloaded this from my phone so the resolution is minimal.

I just returned from a houseboat trip on Lake Powell AZ. The water is incredibly low but it offered some wonderful photo opportunities. The mammatus clouds before the storm were beautiful. Thanks for having a look.

I had the pleasure to capture the beauty of the Alaskan Autumn. It is a lovely place. Even the swan thinks so. I was in the backcountry when a guy camping two tents down was mauled so we were given the boot. After a night sleeping in a bear food locker I decided to leave the park and explore the area. There is such vast beauty. The blue tint by the mountains is from the blueberries. They are everywhere.

out standing.

Thank you very much! Deer are just too easy to shoot out here and too much hassle to process. Beef bought from a Rancher friend, rocks!

The venison makes it unique, and quite tasty. Someone always has venison in the freezer in Montana and Wyoming.
Share your Chili with the venison provider--good neighbor act.
