Maybe we should look at the root of this problem and think “What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

There is one small document in the United States of America called the Constitution. It says we are “innocent until proven guilty.” It does not say every law abiding citizen is a “ pre-criminal.”
That same Constitution says we can not make expost facto laws.
If I have to sell my guns back to the government, where will the government get the money to buy said guns? I am taking a wild guess that it will come from taxes. In other words, we will give the government money to give us to buy our guns.
