The attached PDF is how I set up my menu, it will also give you a
better view of the menu without having to sift through all the camera settings one by
one.
Hopefully this will help some of you out.
Very well done and thank you for posting this. It should be a great aid for those using the X-T30.

It is absolutely TRUE! I heard it from my wife who heard it from her hairdresser, who got it straight from her brother-in-law who got the scoop directly from his parole officer.

You have no business with this camera.😂
That comment was uncalled for. The guy asked a legitimate question and that's the best you can do? Whether you meant it in jest or not, it comes across as a rude reply. Why not share your expertise with the OP rather than posting snide remarks?
I would try resetting the camera to factory settings. Here's how to do that on the D3300:
"To restoring Nikon D3300 to it's factory settings, conform to the following instructions:
Press [Menu] button.
Select the “Setup menu tab”, which is represented by a wrench icon.
Press the [>/ dial right] button, then select “Reset Setup Option” and press OK."
I love these posts. Everyone has their own perspective and they all have valid points. I have done the "filter on/filter off" tests and see no significant degradation of image quality with a good filter on the lens. I would much rather clean an inexpensive filter from a reliable manufacturer than take a chance cleaning an expensive lens and scratching it or damaging the coating on the lens. Every time I buy a new lens, I purchase a new B&W clear or UV filter for the lens and never remove it. For me, it all about piece of mind. With all the dust, dirt, moisture, pollen, and other nasty particles in the air, I sleep better with a filter covering the front element of my prize lens.
Well done. Photos like that make you realize how small we are in a massive universe.

Got to ask. Why are you using Micro SD cards? I hate anything that uses any adapters as its just one more device to fail.
Great answer. I fully agree.
Could you translate that for the unwashed? What does "dba" mean?
I have used Duracell batteries in multiple electronic devices over the last 3 decades or more. I have used them exclusively in some inexpensive digital cameras and related equipment I own and have never had a problem with them of any kind over the years. No leakage, no swelling, no fires or explosions. I guess I have been very lucky.

I am still using my "Flip Phone" and will never want a Camera phone. I don't share my pictures with any social media, they are dangerous and getting worst. I have closed my account from Facebook. The world is changing fast!
I agree. As an extra precaution I put my aluminum hat on every morning when I get up and don't take it off until I go to bed. I think that helps but I still occasionally hear those black helicopters circling above my house.
I don't fool with another app to do the job. It is just so easy to email the photos to myself. Quick and easy.
I wouldn't blow off your D3400 as being an inferior camera. It is capable of taking excellent photos, but like any camera, it's only as good as the person using it.
If it were my camera I would make sure I had the latest updates on it. Then I would do a total reset of the camera settings. Then I would clean all the contacts on the camera/lens. If all that failed to fix the problem I would give Nikon a call.
