I love the ability to quickly mount my long lense to either my tripod or monopod. I have an older manfroto gimbal head so the system i use is all manfroto quick release. Be sure to check the mounting screw on your monopod, my first monopod was a lesser quality and the screw snaped. Saved by camera strap. My replacement monopod of better quality has not had the same problem.

Very nice. Shows the power of the wings with the hint of motion at the tips contrast against the frozen water drops.
