thanks for sharing--I needed some humor for the day rather than think about the snow on its way.

if misery loves company--it is supposed to start here tomorrow with a foot of snow and 40 mph winds
we really need rain in the spring instead of all this

I took these on my way home from work with a point and shoot.

they look like some nice peaceful places to take a walk--well maybe not on the tracks--but it is a nice shot too!

I took this with my fisheye and won first place and $500 with it in a calendar contest. So I figure the lens was free and money left over besides!

what breed of dog are the cute little fellows? My mother in law has one that looks just like them [only hers is very overweight] guess she gave them regular beer!
It was a rescue dog and she never knew the breed

Jim how are things coming with the baby? We would love to have updates every few minutes!

LOL... I know, everything is ok. "The Wife" has had me rearranging our bedroom for the fourth time now LOL. I started messing with pictures this morning and commenting, then she told me she wanted to move things around..... Which means she wants ME to move everything LOL. I haven't looked at anything all day. My wife has this wierd way of saying she hates me playing with pictures. Everytime I start messing with them she tells me she wants me to do something. Or called every two or three minutes(not exaggerating). So I usually end up staying awake all night to finish processing and post pictures.

Lila should be here any moment now I am still hoping for Sunday too but if she is not here by Monday we have to be at the hospital by 5A.M. SO EXCITED !!!! I'll keep you posted for sure.

Thank you everyone for posting and commenting. I'll be back later!

Excellent, we don't have a single elm left in UK, I had forgotten what they look like!

Here in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada is supposedly the largest forest of American Elms in North America. From the air in the summer all you see is green. But we also have to fight off Dutch elm disease.

the streets in Fargo used to look like the one in your picture--and now all the trees have been cut down :( due to the disease

p20 Nice lines, Tooth.

How is the snow, Pat?

p21 Hi, Rufe. Expecting excess of 24". Been snowing and blowing all day - 8-10" already and major "hit" the hours of MN-10AM with coastline damage, hurricane force winds. Fully expect to lose power. People have been ordered to stay inside and off the roads - and get cars off the roads in MA and ME and other places, I think. NOTHING is moving. Planes been grounded since late morning (just heard expect at least 100,000 power outs in NY to Boston area) and no trains or busses to anywhere. Boston is in the Bull's Eye and we are pretty close to it. (2 hrs away but that's nothing in this weather). Been a long time since we had one like this. Hope to grab a couple more pix before I go to bed if I can. Snow is going sideways.

stay safe, play lots of games and eat too much junk food. Hopefully the power stays on
