We are surrounded by military bases where I live. When there was a call up a few years back, there were jets taking off and flying over continuously for hours. A lot of air traffic here are military jets, not commercial flights. Plus private jets can fly any time. There's still no reasonable motive for spraying the whole country with chemicals. They could just as easily put it in the water or in the food. In Flint Michigan and other places you can see the chemicals in the water. There's no secret about it.

You seem to be thinking that chemtrails are sprayed to purposely harm the people. I am of the opinion that they are aimed at climate control or to work in conjunction with HAARP to aid in long range communication or some form of tinkering with the ionospheric layer. I have no positive knowledge of their use, only that they exist. According to my doctor, he believes that chemtrails are responsible for the upsurge of respiratory problems that he is seeing.

An interesting topic. I read the full report cited in the Smithsonian article.
http://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/11/8/084011/meta

The conclusions were based on surveys and scientist reviews of chemtrails websites and claims. Part of the problem seems to me to be that the majority of what is seen in the sky are actually contrails, ice crystals formed by jet exhaust water vapor (which can last for hours depending on humidity and atmospheric conditions), so the chemtrails, also known as SLAP, Secret Large scale Atmospheric Spraying, if they exist, would be secret operations hidden in plain sight.

The other problem is one of logic, it's not possible to prove a negative assertion. So the assertion that chemtrails don't exist can not be proven. In the study, 78 of 79 scientists concluded that they fouund no evidence for the existence of secret atmospheric spraying programs, not that they don't exist. Much the same, no one can prove UFO's don't exist, or that I'm not a millionaire, even though no evidence has been brought forward to conclusively prove any of these assertions.

Finally, I for one don't see any motive for the existence of chemtrails. Industry is already polluting the planet in plain sight. Why engage in secret pollution as well? And from a practical point of view, whether all, some or none of the assertions are true, hiding from cell phones, wifi, electro magnetic radiation, chemicals in food and water, air, mass brainwashing by the media, etc. is just too much trouble. It's not like we all aren't going to die anyway.
An interesting topic. I read the full report cited... (show quote)

It may be too early to be conclusive, but I have seen, and I'm guessing here, a drastic reduction in chemtrails since President Trump pulled us out of the Paris Climate Accord. I would like all doubters to do this one thing: if you see a long white trail in the sky, note the time and location. Check the same area of the sky the next day at the same time. If it isn't there again than it is not the result of a regular commercial flight.

One would think that a photography forum like UHH would not be frequented by people prone to ridicule others. Ridicule is a weapon of the weak in spirit, and when used against the strong causes no casualties.

I beg to differ....there are still people suffering from Chemtrails from the 60's. Just not as many anymore :)

Me thinks that you replied to the wrong individual.

Or use them artistically as leading lines :)

Orrrrr if the photographer could find an actual contrail. They are very short and usually last only a few seconds. Chemtrails last for hours.

While I do believe in many things that the news would label conspiracy theories my feeling about chemtrails is that it ought to be easy enough to prove or disprove whether they are harmful or not. Unlike UFO's anyone with a helicopter or private plane can fly through a chemtrail and collect air samples.
The fact there are so many in the sky all day long ought to make it easy to conduct unbiased testing of the chemtrail's components. But to my knowledge no one has done that and published test results. Environmental scientists are all over ground, air, soil and water polution, but none that I know of have published peer reviewed studies on chemtrail pollution.

Don't you find it amazing that there have been no media reports concerning these "UNUSUAL" trails in the sky? I have read that some of the constituents of chemtrails include barium ferrite and finely ground aluminum. As I previously stated, I have had little luck in getting any info from federal or state officials. The barium ferrite would be an excellent radiation blocker. Ground aluminum could be a cloud seeder, but only on cloudy days. Those with lower levels of knowledge are easily subject to conspiracy thinking. Much easier than investigating.

Are you talking about those who deny chemtrailing? Were you man enough to Google "Geoengineering" before you replied? Do you have a brain?

I, personally hate the fact that chemtrails exist. Some on this site seem to think they are pretty, when in reality they are being ingested by all things they fall on. If you are naive enough to think that they are normal reactions of aircraft exhausts at high altitudes, you are wrong. Google search "Geoengineering" for the truth. Do not bother to ask a government official for an answer because they will play dumb. Contrails are very rare due to the current technology of the high bypass engines now used by virtually all jet aircraft; military, commercial, and private.

According to the experts, the female does 100% of the nest building. The male is obviously the quality control guy.

I think that the "Q" of the Tamron is not as good as the Nikon. Then there is the problem with the Tamron having a max f.l. of 270mm. Not a ripoff but definitely not a good buy.

This area of our rock garden is dedicated to this plant. It re-seeds itself every year. This often considered weed in Texas is also edible, but I've never tried it in a salad as recommended.

The Blue Mist is a great flower for attracting butterflies. It has flower heads that are composed of many tiny individual flowers; as many as fifty plus. I know of others that have similar features but the Blue Mist is the most unusual in my estimation.
