And Rock Hudson was the Native American in the original Winchester '73, with James Stewart....

Not to mention that Ricardo Montalbon played a native American several times.
I was quite glad when Hollywood finally realized that real native American people have acting talent and actually look the part.

Just watched a fun western on TCM titled Apache War Smoke from '54 with Gilbert Roland, Robert Horton and Barbara Ruick, with a cast of familiar names, including a 19 year old Robert Blake, and Iron Eyes Cody.

Horton and Ruick married about this time for a couple of years. After their divorce, Ruick married John Williams, the conductor, with whom she had three children. She passed away in her sleep in '74 in her early 40's from a brain aneurysm.

I use to actually think that iron eyes was a true native but then I learned he's an Italian American.

I get a lot of email from the Meetup group. There's an upcoming meeting for shy people, which is almost funny. It's like the joke about the meeting of the Procrastinator's Club that keeps getting postponed. Would shy people be eager to walk into a room full of strangers?

I was going to start a little Meetup or other group for those of us who have CRS.

For those who are not familiar with the condition it stands for Can't Remember S#1t.
Trouble is I keep forgetting to set it up and would likely forget the meetings anyway.

I'm sitting here alone, in the dark, at 6:15 AM, and my printer makes that noise that printers make occasionally. A couple of seconds later, it made that noise again. The printer is turned off. No lights are lit. This is a new one on me. Creepy.

As I've said before, printers are weird. If this Epson ink tank has a paper jam, there is no way to get it to continue printing without turning it off and waiting. The LCD tells me there is a paper jam, and it shows me, step-by-step how to clear it. There are nine or ten buttons on the front panel, but every one I press gets me the message "Invalid." Turning it off and waiting before turning it on is the only way to continue. Even then, I have to first clear the print job and tell it to print the remaining pages, or it will start from the beginning..

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has to do that with my Eco tank

Riiiight.... The best way to avoid getting C***d is to have already gotten it... (That's not really a plan)

For those of us who have had and recovered from it this is significant.

Funny how not so long ago you were saying that her diary was f**e and the content was not what she said.

Well, if there's a blackout, what are the odds that the gas pumps at the station will be working? Because that's what happens around my area.

I too have a gas generator, but did get one of the battery plus solar panel ssetups as well - at least that ought to keep my fridge running and I can charge it fully in 8 hours (assuming it's not raining, or night time).

Siphon pump doesn't need power

Not a powder but I am a fan of the old way of doing it so I replenish the electrolytes and hydrate using pickle juice.

This is the front end of a 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser. I was driving and this scraping noise from underneath started so I pulled over and found the cause. My knowledge of cars doesn’t include this so I don’t know what happened! I thought I’d take advantage of the tremendous knowledge base available on the HOG. Whatever it is, it’s both wheels.

You have a disconnected or rusted out stabilizer link mounting setup.
Since the front stabilizer bar is actually a factory option on the now defunct pt cruiser you can actually remove the center retaining bushings and remove the bar altogether and it will be fine.
In fact being an option many of them didn't even have one installed in the front.

'SWAY BAR' Never heard of those before, but then twigged (correct me if I'm wrong) it's what we call an anti-roll bar. But I've only seen them running the full width of the vehicle, that looks like it serves one side only.

Sway bar is the American term for anti roll bar

A while back I asked about experiences with the Win 11 upgrade. Mostly positive feedback.

Today my questions are: how long did it take, and did you have to monitor the process?

I've had no real problems with it the longest part of it is the downloading.

Get a membership to the professional photographers association and it includes a fairly decent insurance policy on your equipment at no extra cost.
That's the whole reason I am a member.

I ain't letting the car drive me. I will drive the car. Maybe fifty years from now it will be common. I will be gone.

If you had actually read the article it says that the vehicle still requires a physical operator.
The automatic part is not totally automatic.
This seems to be a standard problem now days where people assume that they don't have to actually interact with the equipment they use.
