I've posted pictures before of this place, and decided to add some more recent photos and test the new OM Systems OM-5 and the M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm F4-5.6 II, The pair is weather sealed.
The OM-5 predecessors were always a joy to shoot with and the trend continues positively.

The other morning I was able to catch a few strikes before the deluge started.
It was dark enough and the lightning was plentiful so I was able to open the shutter for several seconds and catch whatever strikes happened along.
These are the best of about twenty shots.
Bulb, mirror up.

I traveled to Japan for 10 days in late February early March for some bird and snow monkey photography. First time for me to visit Japan. I spent 3 days in Tokyo area and the rest was in the Northern Island of Hokkaido. Self guided. Weather worked out great and I ended up with a lot of images. Still kind of going through them but here are a few Steller's Sea Eagle photos that I liked

Fabulous set.

For the past 6 months or so there has been a pair of Great Horned Owls living in a large Eucalyptus Tree in my neighbor's backyard. I have spent hours looking for them to no avail. This afternoon in a drizzling rain this guy/gal sat on an exposed branch for 20 minutes. I got maybe 20 shots all identical since it didn't move.

Beautiful bird, superb image, Jack

I apologize for these two shots. They're not up to my standards. The sun was just peeking over the horizon, I hadn't set the camera to deal with the background stuff, and the activities of the preceding night hadn't turn me loose yet.
I'm going to show these shots anyway because you will never see anything like this again.

An interesting point.

Think about this one, now that vehicles come with backup cameras, why not install front and rear cameras with built in recording memory for all future vehicles? Insurance companies could then offer reductions to rates(even small rate reductions) as this would help level the playing field on who are bad drivers and who are the good drivers, even reduce insurance investigations and police involvements.

Mine has cameras (front and rear) that can be turned on/off even while driving....not sure about the images being recorded though.

Saturday's walk went along the Jordan River. We started in the Draper portion and walked into the Riverton area. The walk did not produce many of the spring subjects I hoped to see. As spring progresses, the "finds" will improve.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Nice hodgepodge Mike, looks like a really beautiful area.

I'm talking real old....like 1905

Buick started production in 1904. They produced a car with a two cylinder engine and a single chain drive system. It was identified as Model B. There are no known survivors of a Model B.

For 1905, Buick released the Model C...the car shown here. It was a virtually identical car to the Model B. They produced a total of 750 cars in 1905. Only 14 of those are known to exist. This engine has 159 C.I. with two opposed cylinders. It makes 22 HP.

When new, it sold for $1200. That got you the car, 2 oil side lamps, tail lamp, horn, and tool kit. Best in download
I'm talking real old....like 1905 br br Buick sta... (show quote)

Even though I'm an 'Old Folk' and would never be caught driving a Buick that's a Buick I would love to caught driving....great photos of a real beauty, Tom
