The center of storm Zeta passed about 30 miles north of Duluth. As of noon today there are still 48,000 with no power in Georgia. Two trees came down on our neighborhood street. I broke out the chain saws and by noon we had the street cleared and the pine tree blocking a drive way out of the way.

About 4 weeks a go my wife noticed a lump on the side of Abby’s mussel. This required an immediate visit to the vet. Since both are pups had an appointment in a week for their annual teeth cleaning and would be under anesthesia, she would take care
of the lump then.

Stitches from lump removal. Vet looked at under microscope and said it looked suspicious. The vet sent for testing and week later confirmed it was a benign growth.

Abby scratched the stitches open so we got a collar to prevent that. Abby hated it and looked at us with sad eyes. She did figure out that if she laid on her back she could wiggle out it. My wife came up with a better idea.

My wife went to Walmart and picked up a pack on new born socks. Secured with some non adhesive surgical tape, that did the trick. Abby could scratch with no problems. The stitches are out now and she back the lovable self.

Hi all.

Is there such a thing as an SD card with an attached cable having a USB plug on the other end? I'm thinking of something for studio work that would allow photographs to be read/displayed by a PC as soon as they are taken/written to the card. I know there are wifi apps for this but if I recall they are slow and do not upload the full resolution image.

TIA

Amazon is littered with all types of adapters - search SD to USB adapter. I am a Canon shooter and can use the mini USB or the HDMI from the camera to a laptop or TV to review images. Further the Canon Camera Connect app is easy to connect and downloads images quickly in full resolution JPEGs. In live view I can take a shot and immediately review it. Using these features is a battery suck and I would recommend a battery grip if you going to do this on a on going basis.

I really look forward to all your posts. For a guy in the states it is interesting to look at all the colorful birds in India. Your skill at capturing the birds is par excellent!

It is my understanding that UHH has no control over advertising on the site. The adds are placed by Google thru the website host.
UHH is free. Maybe you would be happy if UHH could offered a add free version for $2 or $3 a month? I prefer free and just ignore the adds.

Just go to Amazon and search “Cameras for kids” - Choices galore with quite a few water proof.

Here in the states the first shortage was cause by the shut down and an immediate increase by 40% for consumer paper products and some over buying (hoarding). Consumer and commercial products are very different. Commercial is made from recycled paper while consumer is made from 100% new fiber. Commercial paper has had a corresponding decline.

In the US there are two manufactures; Proctor and Gamble and Georgia Pacific. Their plants are designed to run at 100% capacity on a 24-7 basis with just enough capacity to meet normal demand. Proctor & Gamble was able to quickly get a line back on line which had been down for repairs.
Now, much of the current shortage stems from supply chain shortages of raw product from slow downs, employees out sick and shipping problems. If current conditions continue with more people working from home then the manufactures will have to consider adding more capacity. Even one more line at a plant is an expensive proposition.

I imagine the same reasons in Canada mirror what is going on here.
