Have you tried switching the White Balance to "flash?"

Absolutely! I traded-in my D810 and much prefer the D850. I also have two Df's and love them as well.

Any chance you have a photo of "The Big Guy" meeting with Hunter and the Board of Burisma in Ukraine?

I think this has happened to the best of us... I set my ev to +3 for dark indoor shots at the start of my vacation, and then forgot to set it back to 0 for most of the rest of the vacation in very sunny (and hot) Malaysia. You win some and you lose some... but you quickly learn from these experiences. The good news is that at least with digital, I didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars on film processing costs at the end of my vacation only to learn the bad news.

I used eBay to successfully sell a 1-year old Nikon D810 and its battery grip for a total of about $1,300. It's a fairly easy process, but you need to take your own good photos of the merchandise as well as write copy for your "ad." Why not trying to sell a few pieces on eBay and see how it goes? It's fun to see your "ad" online and watch the bidding process, and you might make more money than selling to the usual KEH, MPB, Robert's Used Photo Pro, etc. If you can't get the "reserve" price you want on eBay, you can always default back to the usual online camera equipment buying companies. eBay customer service personnel are generally very sympathetic and helpful in explaining how the process works if you haven't done it before. I've also sold lenses to the usual suspects including trade-ins at camera stores, but always felt the prices I got were lower than they should have been.

I bought a Zeiss Distagon 35mm lens from them a few months ago, and was very satisfied with them and their customer service personnel. If you're apprehensive, give them a call and speak to one of their very customer-friendly customer service representatives.

Would Rembrandt have used a “paint-by-numbers” paint set? How would that have worked out?

I use a stock background on the opening screen of my iPhone XR that I found on a "wallpaper" app in the Apple store...

Will Amazon ship to Alaska? I bought some RAVPower EN-EL14 and EN-EL15a batteries from Amazon a year ago and they seem pretty equivalent to my original Nikon batteries for my Df and D850.

KEH is very trustworthy, honest and reliable, and their lens ratings are conservative... meaning the condition of the actual lens is even better than the advertised rating grade.

PS... I also only buy refurbished products from Apple, such as several MacBook Pros and iPads... Never had any issues with Apple’s refurbed, either!

The short answer is “DEFINITELY YES.” I’ve purchased three Nikon’s refurbished directly from nikonusa.com... two Nikon Df’s plus a D850. In addition I’ve bought about 10 refurbished Nikkor lenses. All of the refurbed cameras had shutter count activations of less than 50, and the only downside is you don’t get a gold box to hold the cameras and accessories. But everything I’ve bought refurbed from Nikon direct has appeared to be brand new, and I’ve never had any problems or issues with them. One good thing to know is that Nikon USA offers a 10% discount on refurbished items about ten times a year, generally timed around the usual holidays. Nikonusa.com just had a 10% sale last week, and may have another around Columbus Day or certainly Black Friday.
