Supertele slow SS - I got back to Conowingo Tuesday for some more slow SS shooting.
Sunny day, exposures ranged from 1/125 @ f/14 to 1/160 @ f/29, ISO 200. Drop in polarizer due to arrive today. Will try lower SS using it next outing.

The new M1 chipped Macs blow Windows machines out of the water, performance wise, and they’re affordable.

I'm thinking of offering the full range of Costco Photo Products, marked up 100%. They do some nice Acrylic Prints & specialty items, and I can let Costco ship them as gifts after customer pays me online.

Wow! That's outstanding imagery. This is one of those "moments" when a photographer knows what you've accomplished, with the artistry of the slow shutter speed and the panning/blurring of the background creating artistry that I haven't seen before. Doing that with a 1200mm lens is downright "beyond."

Anybody else want to try this?

Now you're making me blush!

About time you birders slowed the shutter down and pan for BIF.

This is good work Dik... like my avatar... it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way ;-)

Sharpness conveys information, softness conveys feelings.

What, no air conditioning? That's a great shot of the eagle, you got the eye. It's easy to shoot at 1/2000 sec but to capture a slow shutter pan of bird going 100 mph, that's a different story. Well done!

Seat has a 12#, 12V, 21 Ah SLA battery to help balance and to power the seat and back heaters. For summer use, I’ll add a 12V fan and an umbrella.

And yes, I get far fewer keepers at low shutter speeds.

Around 20% of the people who look at my book of 13x19 prints, (while I'm shooting at the dam), buy one.

Other than that, I have done no marketing.

I'm seeking a web savvy partner to monetize my birdshots.

Impressive panning.

I went to a lot of trouble to make it easy.

You are the creator. Whatever makes you happy.

Actually, what makes me happy is making other people happy enough with my photos to buy them.

Dik, Nice image. I would have shot it at 1,000 to freeze the action.

I usually shoot high SS, but I think I'm gonna do more slow SS pans.

RF 600 & 800 f/11 lenses have no aperture settings, always wide open. Canon Tele-Extenders have electronic connections for aperture and focus.

I have had and used the Canon 800 f/11 + 2x RF extender (f/22) on both EOS R and R5. AF worked fine.
