Don’t let ill informed naysayers prevent you from using the safest, most reliable storage there is for a disaster recovery copy of your data. And in the event you think hackers are spending time looking through your tens of thousands of files for one nugget, remember use a major cloud provider that provides encryption.

If disaster recovery is important to you; these aren’t billing records that we’re talking about.

As I’ve already said, in over 50 years of photography, I’ve never protected my photos against serious loss.

Stop fighting yourself in the mirror and saying thats a stupid person on the other side.

or just admit that the other person has a completely different way of looking at life. Different people are allowed to think differently.

That was pretty obvious, your negativity and lack of anything technically substantive fully supports your comments.

I have no camera that cost $6000 new, or even $3000 new, or even $1500 new. I set my Pentax to the slowest burst rate. I still think of Sony cameras as having a strange menu system, while enjoying the mechanical external controls of my Pentax DSLRs. What you describe as “lack of anything technical” is total total lack of interest in Sony products and seeing ther having zero place in my future.

A problem that can be addressed by moving to a large format. When I moved from 110 to Advance Photo System, I was amazed by the improvement.

Film and 61MP aren’t comparable - one is not “larger” or “smaller” than the other - comparing them is like trying to compare “mm” and the color blue.

Why not just admit, you don't want or need one to assist your photography rather that continuing to show your biased ignorance.

I have zero need for the claimed benefits of the new camera, zero interest in a MILC - I’m much more interested in the new film camera that Pentax may also release during the upcoming Spring. That MILC will have zero impact upon the photographs that I take. Incidentally, my photography is part of “everything” - but it won’t be touched by this thing.

Ah, so just showing your ignorance of all the information that is around to date?

There is zero real information out so far, just hype, until it has been released and independent photographers have had a chance to use it!!

You could make a far more compelling case if you actually came up with some technicalities and something substantiative as to why. Or is that beyond you?

I’m not trying to make any sort of ‘case’. I simply don’t know whether it gives good images. We will know more when it is in the hands of people not beholden to Sony. Punct.

There is nothing deep down inside us that can't be fixed by a larger sensor.

Then, those of us who use film have a problem.

No. It improves the photograph!!

Only if you look at it with a magnifying glass. I don’t care how many fleas a squirrel has. I discourage viewers from zooming in - I want them the see the scene as I did.

I won't say that in 25+ years I never needed to do a recovery. I won't say that, Murphy may hear me.

In 25 years I may not saying anything - I’m in my mid-70’s right now.

I know I feel inferior with only 45 MP. I may need therapy.

I have ‘only’ 24MP - I have no need of therapy.

And disabling OneDrive probably doesn't require replacement with additional storage media. I am not aware of any essential functionality of OneDrive.

The computers I looked at had smaller HDs because they were assuming data would be kept on OneDrive.

You don’t understand. Its not a question of chasing its a question of not getting the shot because one is too far away, either in distance or in close-up difference. This is an issue you don’t have. No one want to see the pores in their nose.

Your last sentence explains why something like 24MP is plenty detail in most situations.

For your consideration, a couple more shots of my first attempts. I do not think that they show a light leak, all be it they are not very great. Hand held.

The lighthouse is very white. My experience is that structures like that need to be underexposed - especially if the white part is siding; ‘PP’ can be used later to brighten the lighter parts.
