Topaz Denoise AI is incredible!..I use it on most all of my images in Photoshop as a starting point for processing to give me a clean palette processing and editing to the largest sizes I intend to print, from 12.5" x 18.5" at native resolution on my photos from my Nikon D500, and being able to expand many up to 20x30" ..All at 300 DPI, as this Topaz APP enhances sharpening as well.. I believe it's is the BEST anti-noise APP available at this time!

I'm On the 30 day trial now, and I'm not really finding this working for me at all..HOWEVER, I did get the upgrade to Denoise AI, and it also sharpens as well as quelling Noise.. I give THAT app 5 *****. The best APP I use it on virtually all of my high ISO images as a starting point before any edits, and it gives me a "clean slate" to begin my post processing..it really works, and I can't overstate the job it does!!

Almost 3 years ago I picked the Tamron 150-600mm G2 over the Nikon 200-500 as the same price point (around $1300)..I picked the Tamron over the Nikon for my Nikon D500 as the Tamron is lighter for hand-holding, and has a wider range of zoom, and an ARCA type foot on the lensmount. At that time, BOTH lenses received top notch positive reviews. I've had no problems with this lens( and D500) since purchase in November of 2016!

The Nikon D850 for sure!!..Price is now down to about $2700 USD, and 7 frames/second is fine for action. It is arguably the BEST all-around camera you can by today!, and will accept virtually ANY F mount lens ever made. I personally own and use a D500 for action wildife, and landscapes, and can produce images up to 20x30" on good files. This one is now down to about $1500 USD. Today I'd spend ther $2700 on the D850, and use the "change" toward the purchase of some good glass!

I've had a Buffalo Drives Station Duo 4tb drive which gave me 2 TB on Raid 1. This has been my"storage" drive through 2 computers since early 2012..NO failures. It is now "Full", and I purchased the same drive as a 6TB on Raid 1, giving me 3 TB of storage..It's been running for 3-4 months with no issues. These Drives are made in Japan, and sold by B&H and Amazon..They are very quiet and run cool as they have an internal fan. Also shoud on of the didcs fail, the drives are user swapable, so the bad disk can be removed, and a new one dropped in it's place, and will copy the tandem mirrored drive..The 6TB drive was about $280 USD.

I've been using 3rd party batteries for all of my Nikons including a D70, D80, D7000, and now for almost 3 years with my D500..No issues..just make sure the battery is compatible with the D500!..I recently purchased 2 new ones , the brand is STK sold by Amazon..I believe I received 2 batteries for less than $20 total! They are both working fine..One in the D500 body, and one in the grip!!

I use manual mode with ISO AUTO most of the time, and set an upper limit of 4000. I try to keep the aperture at f7.1 in low light. If possible.. I can quickly make the ISO value higher if necessary, and have had many "keepers" at ISO 6400...If I have any objectionable noise at those levels, I deal with it in Photoshop with with Denoise from Topaz Labs. I also Keep the VC control on the lens at #3 (ON and OFF of a tripod!), and find that I've had some decent shots at 1/125th at F6.3..Hand held!..But even better results on a tripod with an electronic shutter release at lower speeds. The VC on this lens is positively amazing!! In low light with slight movement on the part of the subject being "OK"! I shoot mostly birds..LARGE and small!..Good luck on what you decide!..I just KNOW I made the right deci

I have the Tamron 150-600 G2, and by itself, it is NOT a GREAT low light performer..BUT..My Nikon D500 helps make this lens a decent low-light lens due low light capabilities of of the CAMERA..I purchased both together 2.5 years ago, and have not regretted that move!..At the time I checked out the sigma Sport and the Nikon 200-500, and they lost out due to their weight!

I use ISO AUTO in manual mode with a ceiling of ISO 4000 with my D500/Tamron 150-600mm G2 and have been extremely happy with the results for over 2 years now! I can manually change either the aperture or the shutter speed on the fly if necessary for widely varying lighting conditions! Any "noise" I may encounter up to ISO 4000 is easily dealt with in post-processing in Photoshop CC with "DENOISE" by Topaz Labs. This Camera has amazing elasticity for virtually ALL subjects!

Yor D7100 is a GREAT one, but loses out for not having much of a buffer, ie, You could easily lose a shot while of a fast moving subject on a burst , which was rectified with the now seriously dropped in price D7200.. I've seen US model pricing in the $700-800 range.. That would be a better camera to begin with for a relatively low investment.. BTW, I also chose the Tamron 150-600mm G2 over the Nikon due to it's lightness, and and it's extended Zoom range at the same cost as the Nikon..I've now had this Tamron for over 2 years in conjunction with a Nikon D500 purchased at the same time, and I'm still thrilled with my results with that Tamron!!

The D7200 is a super bargain for a GREAT camera for around $700 for the USA mode!..Just buy it and don't look back!..You'll be happy for a long time, and it will work with most all Nikon f mount lenses!!
