Impressive! Not sure I’d make it to the top of the rigging, up and down a step ladder is enough nowadays! Must say, you certainly look the part Val - keep up the good work!

Thanks Dave, was in 2005 so a few years ago and I would not be able to get to the top now Won't be doing it again as it was the ex hubby that did a lot for them as he was carpenter and Tenacious is a wooden ship... It was fun to do and the chief did great meals!!!

Excellent. They wouldn’t survive without some volunteers.
I was surprised that Lord Nelson looked quite small, although I’ve only seen her coming up The Solent to dock at Southampton. Certainly not as big as Tenacious. She sometimes overnights in Swanage Bay and also docks in Poole on occasions so we get a few opportunities to see her, unfortunately usually with no sail on. I’ve not been on board. They do some good work, I hope they can get their finances sorted out this time, it would be a shame to lose such a scheme.

I agree it would be a shame to lose the scheme. Here is a picture of Tenacious in dry dock and one with me by her. I did climb to the top of the rigging when she was afloat which I was very pleased with myself for doing as I do not like heights... Pictures not the best quality...

And that’s a big one! Another of your highly imaginative composites Frank.
The ship you’ve used is currently (and sadly) up for sale and the company that (technically) owned it are in liquidation. They were part of the Jubilee Sailing Trust, which thankfully survives and still runs sail training voyages for folk of all abilities on their ship the Tenacious. It’s quite a sight to see someone in a wheelchair being hauled up the mainmast!

I have been on the Tenacious a few times doing voluntary maintain work while in the dock at Southhampton and also when in the dry dock. Very impressive when you underneath her in the dry dock. Also went on Nelson for a look around ..

This will be our 3rd attempt to get there this year - two covid canceled - With crossed fingers we "should" be flying out from LAX this coming Wednesday 10/26 (11 days touring) - Will consume lots of bottled water & Egyptian beer --
Hoping to come back with lots of photographs

Enjoy your holiday, I have been there and its great. We were told if you buy a bottle of water from stalls check that the bottle has not been opened as some are reused and filled with tap water...

I find the second one to be much better, with her closer there is more impact and the falcon is a great touch to the picture. I find the clarity of the picture to be much better as well and her pose is much better...

I think you have done a brilliant job with isolating the flower and making the colours pop but such a shame you have missed a few patches of the background by the stem and a few marks that show up on the double download. I know how hard and frustrating it can be doing work like this so as I said brilliant job..
