Obviously, the eclipse was the main event. But there were other things along the way that got my attention (and that of my camera). Enjoy! Your comments are always appreciated.

A huge snow storm slowed me down getting out of Arizona! This "lake" is actually a meadow!

Wildflowers are a simple little gift from God to us. They mostly serve no purpose other than to make our world more enjoyable. This was shot at dusk.

I love it when clouds catch the sun!

After all, I was in Texas!

Very, very nice. My favorite picture of the entire event was the sliver in a cloud.

That tops my story. I would drive that far all over again to see another one. My daughter and son-in-law flew from Houston to Cleveland to watch.

I like your images and your sentiments too, Kathy. Must be really something to experience that all by yourself in such a pleasant setting. Then again, that's the kind of thing to experience with someone special but not a crowd. Orange partial eclipses are the best way to view them and their sunspots.

This eclipse I was at my daughter's house so i didn't have to go anywhere afterward. For the 2017 eclipse, I travelled to Nashville TN. Took me 7 hours to drive there and only 16 hours to get home because of traffic. Hope you fared better.

Thanks, Reuss. I traveled 2300 miles (4 days of driving) and went through a snow storm, and a rain storm so horrid I couldn't see the front end of my truck! But I was really happy with the experience.
