The problem may definitely lie in the comouter.

Check out this link - suggest you remove SD card from the camera and use a reader connected to your computer as it sounds like you connected your camera to the comouter.

I don't think you can call it photography if no lens and no camera was used. It's certain creative and I would consider it's more creative than photography.

We have a relocation center located west of Sacaton, Arizona. There is a monument there but little left of the buildings. I've been there and it is a rather somber place.

I can understand the "knee-jerk" reaction to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. However, the confiscation of their property can never be forgiven.

This past January, my wife and I met some friends in Lone Pine, California, located up in the Owens Valley region of the state. This was the first time I had been there and I took advantage of that to visit the Manzanar National Historic Site, dedicated to the memory of when it was one of 10 War Relocation Centers where individuals of Japanese ancestry were interned for the duration of World War II. In total, these camps were home to over 120,000 people.

Now this has special meaning for me as one of my first bosses after I graduated from engineering school was of Japanese decent. He was born in Los Angeles and his family ran a truck garden, supplying vegetables to local markets and restaurants. His parents were born in Japan, but Paul and his older brother, were born in LA.

Now Paul never talked much about what happen back then, but I knew a few things. I knew that he was in high school when the war started and that he and his family were forced to leave Los Angeles as part of the displacement of Japanese-American families. I also know that he eventually joined the Army and served in the 442nd Infantry Regiment, which consisted of mostly Americans of Japanese ancestry. This unit served in Europe and was the most decorated regiment in the army. Paul was wounded twice while fighting in France and Germany.

Because of this, I had always wanted to visit Manzanar as it's the only one of the 10 camps where the government has tried to preserve any of its history.

For the next few posts, I'm going to present some of the photos I took that day and at the end, I'm going to relate a bit more information about my old boss and what happened to his family.

Spot on post. In all actuality, I was working on posting something very similar simply as a question. It was inspired by the number of posts extolling some new camera releases as opposed to discussing techniques. There does seem to be an imbalance when comparing new camera releases compared to techniques.

Some of this reflects back on UHH members inquiring as to what camera was used to make a photograph when none is listed. In all reality, it doesn't matter. What matters is technique.

I've rarely seen a Prius driver behave as if they are one-up on every other vehicle on the road. Traffic laws don't apply to them.

A friend bought a Prius hybrid a few months ago. Yesterday, he told me he was surprised at how aggressive drivers were toward him. They tailgate and cut him off. He's been driving for decades, and he noticed this after driving the Prius. I know there are some people who don't like hybrids or EVs, but is type of aggression common?

Out with the Stokenchurch Stumblers last week, then went back to get some snaps of a nearby pond later.

On the way back to the car this approaching storm (it petered out to something much less menacing) offered the chance of a shot to practise AFFINITY with. Late afternoon sun added a density to the storm which I hope I've done justice to. I've also cloned out the overhead utility plant, its shadows and reflections in the windows.

If you can see anything I've missed please let me know. The owners have said I can forward this for entry into a local fund raising calendar for the Community Bus.

Tramsey, I'm basing my opinion on the amount of contact between the instrument and the performer, and classical guitar only. The violinist's contact with the instrument is quite limited, to the chin and collarbone. In many cases, they use mechanical devices which limit the contact even more. Additionally, the violinist uses a bow to initiate the vibration of the strings.

The classical guitar is held against the chest and the vibrations of the back can be clearly felt while playing. One can clearly feel the entire body of the guitar vibrate. Those vibrations are initiated by the fingernails of the guitarist. Thus, no mechanical devices separate the guitarist from the instrument.

To clarify a bit more, I've been paid to perform. However, I'm not considered a professional.

What about a violin Bob? I have a grand daughter that plays violin solos in concerts. When she plays she closes her eyes and in no longer in the room. Don't ask me where she goes because she doesn't know either just , 'out there,' is the only answer I've ever gotten.
So you are a professional guitarist! Congratulations. I would've never guessed that

Earlier I asked about a new monitor for a new computer and was given good advice by many. A few asked what I wound up with, and here's the answer:

Mac Studio, M1 chip, 32 g memory, and a 2T drive.
BenQ PD2705UA Monitor

Thanks, all, for your assistance.

Best practice is to format the card in the camera in which you intend to use it.

I prefer the black and white photograph. I do, however, think you could have gotten quite a bit more detail in the clouds. You have a good start.
