your set up was fine. I shoot the moon plenty in live view and your exposure seems correct what was your f-stop. Shooting the moon usually has the same exposure as shoot on earth in the middle of the day.

How about dry bags and boxes they use in kayaking and white water rafting - I would have to consider the heat so it does not melt or weaken the bag.

Not positive of my facts but I believe adobe shut down the licensing server for CS3 they have given out new licenses which do not need to check with server. Check with adobe or at their site or google cs3 licensing.

Make sure you drive the kancamagus highway, stop in North Conway(quaint town shots along with old railroads tracks and trains), Also Diana's Bath, Cathedral Ledge you can drive to the top for great views of the Mt washington valley, take route 16 towards Chocorua for mountain lake view reflection. Castel in the clouds, Lake Winnipesaukee their are so many and you just barely touched the mountain region of NH. If you want more info lived here for 30 years and have been taking pictures of the area longer

The quick answer is yes. If you use LR5 it has smart preview which makes it so you don't have to take the external if you want to be able to adjust images along with catalog features. You will be able to show images, you just can't print out high quality prints until you reattach external.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. All of the "L" brackets I find are for mounting a flash. Where can I find a bracket to mount a camera 90 deg to the tripod?

I have updated and using the subscription. It makes it much easier. I can budget and take off taxes as an expense. I have the newest at my finger tips and any tool I need when I need it without searching the web for a free version which might / or might not get the job done. Post processing is just as important to me as good glass so we have to pay the price. People have been claiming how expensive photoshop is here is a way to afford it. ( you might just have to cut back on your trips to dunkins or starbucks)

It gives you a choice when you import if you want to leave catalog 4 alone or not

Thanks Jerry, I know the program installs separately, what I don't want is it to pull in any of my catalogs from 4...did it give you the option to NOT install 4's cats... If you recall a while back I had an issue with my main catalog in 4. Still unresolved and Adobe was of no help trying to fix it, so I want to keep 4's catalog out of 5 all together. I realize I can create new Cats...I just want a fresh start in 5 and not sure if LR5 upgrade will allow that or will I need to purchase a full copy to keep Cat 4's out of LR5. Sorry if my question wasn't clear. After rereading it, it wasn't to me either. DOE!
Thanks Jerry, I know the program installs separate... (show quote)

IMHO, I find the photos don't say anything. You might want to try to isolate more by depth of field, try an unusual angle. Maybe include more of the area. I try to show a story evolving when I take an image.

#1 to much distraction of the background
#2 out of focus
#3 tulips look lost

hope this gives you info to progress
