Arches NP. May, 2009. Dixon is one of my favorite western landscape painters and he was married to one of my favorite photographers.

Perhaps you overlook the obvious question. Is the Cat the woman's pet, or is the woman the Cat's pet?

AI WARNING

Image from MidJourney. First to Topaz PhotoAI for sharpening. My standard workflow in Photoshop. Topaz Studio 2 for a mild painterly effect. Finally to NIK Silver Efex 6 for sepia treatment and to accent the fog

Wow Jack, every step in your workflow took this image further in a pleasing direction. The sepia is just the thing.

STELLA!!
This is fun and well put together. Salvador Dali once promised the world he would stop "flying cats"...but he didn't.

I had the opportunity to visit the Falkland Islands last December and would like to share a few of the photos. For those serious about their bird photography, the Falklands represents a wonderful opportunity. We were lucky to visit three of the outer islands; Bleaker, Sea Lion, and Saunders. Each island is unique, having to some degree a different group of birds. It may take several posts to share what I consider worth while. So stay tuned. Here are a few to start. Hope you enjoy and constructive comments are always appreciated.

During the end of Friday's excursion to Farmington Bay, our host spotted activity and brought the car to a halt next to a kestrel sitting on a sign. This enabled me to take several shots of the kestrel that are included in this set.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Fine work Mike!

AI WARNING

For those old enough to remember 1955. Harvey, he's a Pooka by the way, waiting for Jimmy Stewart to drive him to the set for the first day of filming.

Harvey is an AI image from MidJourney. The background is from Pixabay. Processed in Photoshop

There is a little of Elwood P Dowd in all of us ....but maybe not enough! Well done Jack.

I like the b&w treatment a lot especially the trees which are RIGHT THERE but not blown out. The birdnerd in me wonders why a bird house would be placed so low. There is a feeling of wildness here that wanted this processing.

Painterly & Photos of Cardinals, Bluejay & Starling in my backyard after the Snow here in West Chester, Ohio.

I thought it might be fun to add a little tail plumage on the Cardinal, also to see what he might look like as a Woodpecker and to see him being sucked into a Vortex.

An absolutely beautiful set! I admire your work and your sense of play.

Use Ai to create something that you might be able to use.
I asked it to create some backgrounds, blue, green yellow etc.
this was my favorite. Now Im open on how to use it.
Id LOVE to see what you can create using this

I played with it as a simple composite. It is one that can work with perched or flying subjects. Show us your eagle!

This sequence was captured Friday afternoon on a blustery blue-sky day in South Texas. The Osprey's prey turns out to be a Spadefish which is a bit unusual for our canal environment. The combination of this deep-bodied, hefty fish and really strong headwinds made the post-catch climb-out a real challenge for the Osprey. By the same token, these circumstances provided me with several seconds of shooting opportunity. I have selected representative shots which hopefully depict the action sequence and validate the species of the catch. Enjoy.

This gable end barn is in northern Madison County, Indiana, seemingly well taken care of and apparently converted to a garage and storage building.

This is the perfect treatment for this shot John, well done! Your barn photos are always a pleasure to view.

Posting for feedback really. I don't do a lot with textures or photoshop-type edits. The face image is with two textures applied, the bottom is the source image. My intent was to make the face have that "painterly" feel I see others doing. The source is from what I call one of my B-roll images. A nice image but one I would use to fill in space for stronger images when storytelling. I wanted to try some things with the B-roll to see if I could make them have more interest.

Is this type of edit worth doing? Does this type or art (for lack of a better word) sell?

This is attractive a fun, and yes worth doing...even with your A-roll images.
