Yes, that is a good thing. Expediting TPD Discharge has been a real issue. In addition, the directive absolves veterans from owing federal taxes on the discharge (this was an issue that caused some veterans to forego discharge because the taxes are due upon discharge). And the administration is asking states to follow suit, so hopefully state taxes won't be an issue.

Sorry, but you are drawing an incorrect conclusion. I do care about the death of people. I do not care about the death of fetuses. It really is that simple. You think there is a conflict, but only because you think that a fetus is a person.

In addition, while I am concerned about the affects of drugs and alcohol on people, I think people should be able to use drugs and alcohol as long as they don't harm other people. I also think people should be able to commit suicide, but also they should be able to get mental health treatment. You should't have to try to commit suicide to get your problems recognized and treated. Opiates have always been a problem, but better access to alternatives might help.

Ridding the country of guns might certainly be the answer; restricting access and restricting which guns are available most certainly will be an answer. It is the case in most countries.

This country's affinity for war is bipartisan. It is driven by greed, paranoia, r****m, jingoism. You name it, slaughtering innocent people is a characteristic of American foreign policy.

I hardly think I was hysterical about guns; one brief statement about guns in my post cannot qualify as hysteria.

As for healthcare, Republicans have been doggedly consistent about repealing the ACA. They have claimed a desire to replace it, but have no concrete proposals to do so. They have not addressed other health care issues, most specifically the cost of prescriptions and the limitation on Medicare negotiating drug prices.

Republicans are not proposing changes to the ACA to fix it's problems; in fact they are doing what they can to exacerbate those problems in the hope of crippling the ACA and eventually repealing it. This is not an action taken with the intent to improve health care in America.

I look forward to Republicans marching in the streets demanding better health care, lower drug costs, stricter environmental protection (for clean air, water, food...), safer streets and neighborhoods, and an end to wars of aggression. I doubt it will happen, because instead of focusing on issues pertaining to people, they are focused on the issue of making more people by restricting a******n.
