No. 1 is definitely a photograph ... as for no.2, I don't consider any image enhanced by Photoshop or other PP software to be photographs. PP is an insult to photography.

Karno - absolutely stunning! All three. Your choice of camera & lens are excellent btw. Curious, did you screw on a star filter for #2?

@ Retired CPO & UtahMike .......... not to worry, it's okay.

One of the advantages of being a member here at UHH is ... putting - as the case warrants on occasion - an obnoxious, or rude poster into my Ignore List.

One of the many hats I wore in life, was as an undercover Arizona State law enforcement agent stationed on the Arizona/Mexican border for seven years. I did hand-hand combat and running gun fights with Mexican drug smugglers and cartels from the deserts of Lukeville, AZ all the way to San Ysidro and San Diego, CA - in and out of Mexico (look that up on a map)!

I can assure everyone that the 'bleeding heart' types that spew MSM news propaganda, such as Mr. Orange, have not one iota or a minuscule clue on certain 'political issues' as it was labeled, in Mexico and in particular, the Arizona desert or the Organ Pipe National Monument ... and, there certainly is no place in my 'fox hole' for the likes thereof that blow such 'smoke.'

And, as for my fellow agents that were unmercifully shot and murdered in cold-blood by so-called 'Asylum Seekers' and 'Political Refugees' who just happened to be carrying a few extra kilos of 'Mexican Brown' and Cocayena in their day-packs, I'll be sure and throw a few extra roses on their graves, and tell their widows and orphans hello from Mr. Bleeding Heart.

So, as they say down Ol' Mexico way ......... Asta La Vista Permente, Senor Orange!

@ DesRose

Nice shots indeed - good composition & balance, pleasing to the eye. Being a native Arizonan, I'm quite familiar with Bartlett Lake and Arizona's deserts. AZ desert springtime is always a treat to experience, and photograph.

Just a suggestion, with no offense intended ... perhaps it would be beneficial, as well as educational, to explain to your viewers what species of flowers they are viewing ... in this case we are looking at: Golden Poppies, or California Poppies, and Purple Desert Lupine (save the scientific names unless they would like to research). The saguaros are a given.

And, thank you SafetySam!

What I am about to say is NOT aimed at you ... and, I'm not throwing rocks at anyone in particular out here in UHH land:

"Photoshop doesn't make a Bad Picture Good; it makes a Bad Picture BIG." --- John Shaw

John Shaw taught me more about Photography than any one mentor I ever learned under. That was 35 years ago, and today I continue to follow his teachings and sound advice. If there is anyone here in UHH land that is serious about their photography - amateur or pro - my recommendation is to pull up a chair in Shaw's classroom of photography books and start taking meticulous notes. You won't find him on a YouTube channel talking fast above your heads, or raking in subscribers and dollars either.

Thank you for the information. Based on your photography background you'll fall in love with the D810. It's a great camera ... but at times I think 36 MP is too much and 24 is just fine. My backup D610 does a pretty good job at 24. But then again, having been potty trained with a 12 MP S2 Pro upon leaving the film world back in the day, that camera produced outstanding IQ photos, especially shooting Nikon f/2.8 lenses. I'm a firm believer in the use of a tripod and shutter release, yet there are many times it doesn't quite pan out like that. Thanks for sharing your nice photo and information.

The owner/pilot of this Beechcraft D18 let me take a photograph of her polishing her gorgeous aircraft. As a matter of fact, the pilot herself is quite gorgeous too ... which is really what caught my eye in the first place, and why I couldn't resist taking the shot. Click on the download & click to enlarge.

From a photographers viewpoint and avid air show enthusiast ... quite stunning photography. From a pilot's perspective ... Yeahhhhhhhhh!!!

Here's a fly-by, 'on-the-deck' shot of Jon Melby in his Pitts S-2B taken at the EEA Copperstate Fly-in. Melby is a super guy, both in the cockpit and in person.

Dramatic capture - you state you're now shooting an D810. It would be helpful to better evaluate this photo if you would care to elaborate on the lens, OEV camera settings, etc. I'm curious as to if the image was taken using a tripod, shutter release ... or, if it was handheld. The reason being, that for an 810 @ 36 MP (which is what I shoot) the image is a bit blurry when magnifying 1 click. Thanks if you care to share that info.

I forgot to say that Fredrick has been married twice before and was divorced ... so, that would make her Tuesday March the 3rd.
