hi. went to scotland couple times..first time i contacted "tours by locals" in edinborough..there is a guide named will.he was a photographer for lonely planet few yrs ago then moved back to scotland..i can't remember his last name but i recently looked at the site and he is still doing tours..his tours are listed by duration or by area..he was very helpful not only with the history tour but with camera help as well..i highly recommend him.scotland is one big photo opportunity. there are a few folks on this site from scotland/uk,hopefully they will give much better info..enjoy your planning.jim
Thanks for all the nice comments. , jim

been to scotland twice and ireland three times.planning trip for september perhaps combining the two.
hi, yes if I remember correctly.we had a photographer/guide that took us around some wonderful areas.scotland is one big photo opportunity.jim
Really very nice shot.We were there in the spring but my photos turned out to be too snapshot like to look good..very nice photos, thx for posting.
Finally feel comfortable sending a "decent"photo. First from Isle of Skye,Scotland. Second from Glencoe,Scotland..first time used slow shutter speed for moving water. No pp but a bit of lightning on my mac computer.,jim
Before you go check out "tours by locals"in Edinburgh..one of their guide name is Will.cannot remember his last name but he was a photographer for lonely planet in Japan.a native of Edinburgh.great walking tours but also will drive you anywhere..when you see the website, type in the city of choice and their guides will pop up by name and the tours they give..very reasonable. if time and budget allow try to see the orkney islands..short flight from a few cities or a ferry ride from few cities..orkneys are very primal, lots of historic sites, churches, monolithic sites, etc etc..they also have tours by locals to show you the entire island so you can concentrate on photo ops.have been to Scotland three times. cities are wonderful but the scenery is unmatched in my opinion..glenco,isle of Skye, so many places..I would seek info from R.G. (above post). enjoy, jim
