Neither, but maybe some of the individuals in the attic could benefit from the concept.

Maybe this thread should also be posted "In the Attic".

Why punish all of us -- for a few individuals that do not appreciate your work? I like the painting you provided, but I suspect that the individuals that provided comments (like myself) are not professional art critics.

I am just a “dumb ol’ engineer”, but I particularly like the “Zen Bush” for the composition and negative space. I also like the “Untitled” for the colors. “Crabapple at dawn” provides me with a little doom type feeling. I also like the space treatment color and lines in "Ms. Rosa Nylen, LLD "

I believe these are some of the type of things photographers are trying to present in their photographs as well.

Thank you for sharing.

That is my opinion and so there….

Here is my two cents. I saw the prior posting. I thought at the time the full dynamic range was not captured. I believe this is probably a case where High Dynamic Range (HDR) would have been very useful.

IF the necessary "other" photos are not available for HDR THEN,
I would probably try to recover this photo by either making it a B&W silhouette with maybe the black area having some texture OR,
I would try making a pseudo HDR by making two copies of the original, underexposing one copy and over exposing the second copy by 2 steps. Using the original and these two copies I would then evaluate the HDR process results for either further, gentile light room processing either in color or B&W.

Depending on how much time you want to invest in salvaging this photo the process could be repeated using different settings.

Good luck and enjoy the learning process.
