Jeep Daddy that makes sense. I will have to see if I have any true macro shots and post them. Probably don't have anything in digital format. I used to shoot a lot of product photography, mainly jewelry with a 4x5 film camera that would probably qualify, but it would not be very interesting.

An old Tamron Zoom with Macro capability and a Nikon D70, some shots from North Carolina while on vacation 4 or 5 years ago. I have updated my camera from a Nikon D70 to a D810 and I am rebuilding my lens arsenal, all of my full frame lenses are from the 70's and are not compatible with the 810. Boy have I got GAS. LOL

I have to agree with Burkphoto on the use of the lens hood vs the use of a filter. As a former photojournalist, I had filters and hoods on every lens for protection (filter) and IQ (hood). I was constantly moving from dirty environment to even dirtier ones and the filters protected the front element. I still remember working at a child care facility and having one of the kids who was eating lunch (PB&J sandwich) come up and stick his finger into the lens hood and touch the filter and say "whats that?" never was so happy to have a filter on it. Whenever I moved into a studio environment the filters came off but the lens hoods stayed on.

The "Z" emblem on the side of the front wing tells me it is a Zagato bodied Alfa. A little more digging and I found a photo of a 1960 Alfa Romeo Sprint. I think it was a special edition car from that year. Here is a link I found to the car http://www.conceptcarz.com/profile/5696,9001/Alfa-Romeo-Sprint-Zagato.aspx probably will have to copy it to a browser.

I love seeing all of the wonderful bird photos that are being posted. I decided I needed to post some different birds??? that I found in Hamburg Germany a number of years ago. Let me know what you think. These characters were at a Medieval Fair that our grandson who lives in Germany took us to.

I have a Tamron SP AF 10-24. I have had great luck with it and it is not badly priced.
