My Tivo costs $16.99/mo, and I can live with that. I looked at the ones you mentioned, and they don't appeal to me. Thanks, though.

And spending $204 a year for the same thing that is available at very little (if any) cost doesn't appeal to me. Different strokes... <shy grin>

How about recording Hulu with a Tivo? I can't remember the last time I watched a live show - so I never see commercials.

TIVO is kinda old technology (and quite spendy IIRC) but it is essentially no different than TABLO, EMBY, or Channels DVR, etc.

I only use Roku for the non-air channels, such as Amazon Prime.

"And if you are in the right area, you probably would use ROKU half as much."

What I meant was that if you live in an area like I do -- 82 OTA channels -- streaming is not as important. Not to say that it eliminates the ROKU unit (after all you need it to use TABLO) but it does cut down on the usage.

I agree, Tablo is the only way to go for OTA (Over The Air) TV. And if you are in the right area, you probably would use ROKU half as much.

Several suggestions:

One is to visit this site: https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/

I subscribe to the $6 Hulu program. I use PlayOn to record and skip the commercials. https://www.playon.tv/
(Of course, if you must watch "Live" shows, that wouldn't work for you.)

To replace your current Cable service, see my first suggestion.

"People should be taking precautions based on the facts, not on the divergent left-right narratives. Some people are irrational and will over- or under-react no matter what, even if they are only over or under-reacting based on the facts. But it is especially dangerous in this case if people under-react based on a particular widespread partisan narrative."

Another Catch-22. I installed AceMoney, and it looks similar to Quicken. I can't import my Quicken data because I have to be able to run Quicken in order to do that. If I could run it, I wouldn't need AceMoney. : )

Is "AceMoney" looking for a running instance of Quicken in order to import? Or is it simply needing a Quicken Data file?

If you want to be real serious with personal financial tracking, then you should look into "Moneydance." https://infinitekind.com/moneydance I have used it for over ten years now (since MS gave up on "Money.)

Why so rude?

Statistically speaking 50% of the population of the world is more intelligent than the other half. You two are, obviously, on opposite sides to that line... perhaps by quite a distance.

If you subscribe to the $10 Photography Plan, do you use any parts of it besides Lightroom Classic?

Part 1:
Yes or No

Part 2:
What?

Did I misunderstand?

The answer to Part 1 regardless if Yes or No would mean that you use Lightroom Classic.

The answer in Part 2 would preclude Lightroom Classic since already determined by Part 1.

in other words let Lightroom do its maintenance and cataloging and you just do filtering to find them.

I agree. This is the way I do it.
