p.34 Dennis!!!! First - Hi! Second - WOW WOW and WOW. I can tell you have really been working that camera of yours. Good for you!! (In case others wonder - Dennis and I took a photography class together a while back)
Thank you, Pat, and Hi back at you. I'm loving that D750. My next pursuit - long exposures.
If it wasn't for water, I would hardly ever take a photograph. Here's a few of my favorites.
Many years ago I attended the Nikon School of Photography when it came to Boston. I remember them teaching us that the focal length that matches what you see with the naked eye is the diagonal of the image on the film. For 35mm film, or a full frame sensor, that would be 42mm. For a crop sensor - 28mm.
I just had the same thing happen. I always downloaded from the camera to my own system of folders and sub-folders. The computer always asked me where I wanted the files to be downloaded and I simply identified the sub-folder I wanted to use - very easy. The last couple of times the computer just "sucked in" the photos without giving me any options. I went into the organizer and there they were. Now I have to figure out how to bring them into processing from there. I just love it when my computer decides to change the way it does things. I'll continue to follow this discussion with interest.

Abstracts created by intentional camera movement. ANd a question: Does anyone know if Richard Q is OK? Haven't seen him in a long time.
Nice results, Pat. That's one technique I've never tried.
I don't usually pursue abstracts but I do occasionally stumble upon them. Here's a sampling.
I'm very happy with the performance of mine on my Nikon D7100. On a tripod it's very good. Handholding will probably require some practice.

Beautiful! Are you aware that there is a tree challenge going on right now?
Now I find out that I did post it in the challenge. UHH moved it with no explanation.???
I can't resist trees. The variety is endless. Here's a sampling of my favorites.
Your first 2 are really exceptional.
Gotta post a few more. This is a great topic.

Reflections are probably my favorite Photo Subject. Here's a few of my favorites.
This topic interests me because I recently upgraded from a Nikon D7100 to a D750. Since I wasn't offered much in trade for the D7100 I opted to keep it, it is a very nice camera. The D750 has a definite advantage for me since I shoot mostly scenery with wide angle lenses. On the other hand, I frequently go on shoots that require a lot of walking and I can carry the older camera with 3 Dx lenses fairly easily (I'm not getting any younger) and Fx lenses can get pretty heavy. I did notice (and this could just be my imagination) that the Fx files seem to respond better to post processing. My photos just get some tweaking in Camera Raw. So my ideal situation is to have one of each.
That's Maine, alright. Nice shots. I'm curious about where the last one was taken.
Happy to welcome a fellow Mainer. Did you post that same shot on Mainephoto?
