I love the classy old girl, and admire the crews who took her to Germany and back with no guarantee of getting home again.

5D Mk3, love it but I do miss the crop factor now and again 7D Mk2 would be ideal for this type of regular shooting.

The 7D Mk2 will be great with the added crop factor, my 5D Mk3 is brilliant but even with 600mm you sometimes need extra distance.

I think the hardest planes to shoot are propeller type, when the shutter speed needs to be low enough to show motion in the blades. challenging with the Tamron but a worthwhile challenge.

Great job!! I shot the Jones Beach air show last month with the Tamron 150-600. Handheld. I found it tough locking onto the moving planes, even with continuos shot. Probably my inexperience with it. I posted a few on here last month. Yours came out terrific!!

Really pleased with it as well. I has it's limitations i.e. f stop needs to be around f/8 for best sharpness and if light is bad the iso needs to be ramped up. but for me its perfect without breaking the bank on a $$$$$ canon telephoto.

Thanks, the smoke is all part of the show. The B17 flown was star in Memphis Belle a few years ago.
