Sorry, I thought I had saved the file as a download. Here it is . . .

I am no wizard at this but here is a rough attempt.

I also made a series of photos of coin engravings way back in my 2.25" film days. You have mastered these beautiful works of art, impressively.

Interesting set of photos.
I’m not quite sure I would subject my camera equipment to those conditions in order to “get the shot,” but, that’s me.
Thanks for sharing.

Those little paws are quite soft and the rig is likely too heavy for him/her to drag it away. Very cool series by two very cool actual photographers.

Because it extends the crop outside of the original shot allowing the content you want in the shot to remain. This will produce a shot where a little of the black border is left as it is in the lower left-hand corner of this shot. That can be eliminated by cloning in (a little grass) to cover the black area.

If you look at the original crop, you will see it cuts off part of the white cow.

I do that when needed. Works well.

Why would anyone use a card reader when there are more direct ways to load photos onto a computer, like using a USB cable?

Loading is much quicker with my rig. IF I used CF cards with their tiny, fragile pins I would likely put up with the time lag to avoid possible damage to the camera pins.

The challenge at auto shows or in outdoor auto photos is to have the subject sharp and the background blurry. I know that a wide open aperture would do the trick but runs the hazard of not having the entire length of the auto in focus if it’s at an angle to the camera. Is there one f-stop recommended or would it be better to do a few bursts at various stops to get a blurry background? Or would a short tele help to add to bokeh?

The "tilt/shift" lenses were made for just such a challenge. There are some bargains to be had in vintage gear for use on mirrorless bodies with adapters.

Use two desk lamps at 45* angle to the flat images to prevent glare. To flatten, use a flat black foam-board mask of the correct size with the cut edges blackened. The photo images can be AI-cleaned and sharpened.

To speed up the process, sort by size. Perhaps first by time era. Have fun with a long task

And be aware of dust! It is on the photos and more will settle as you work and pop out when you view the result.

A few favorite caterpillar shots. These critters appear at various times in our nearby swamps.

Just checked on yearly updates for Topaz Gigapixel $79 and Photo AI $99. DeNoise and Sharpen no longer supported. I think I'll have to consider value received before renewing.

I just got notified that Gigapixel would cost me $99 to renew. Perhaps news that Adobe has posted huge profits sparked a greed storm.
