I wonder if this is the school which was blown up by a malfunctioning gas fired boiler, the janitor went down into the basement and not knowing that the area was rich is gas, tried to relight the boiler. At the time, natural gas could have little if any odor as I have been told. Artificial scent was added after this explosion to alert people of its presence.
