I just received a pair Of these Binoculars..Quite well built with really nice optics!..Has anyone found/made a"cure" for the cheap lens-caps that come with these binoculars?..I lined the inner surface of the eye-piece caps with the soft side of a couple of small strips of velcro..And that seems to work so far..BUT the front large glasses are another issue. I'm thinking maybe a couple of tethered "cap-keepers", but I'm not sure the adhesive small circle will actually stay on the front of these cap-keepers..Maybe a spot of epoxy on each??.. Looking for any and all possible solutions..TIA Pahtspix

DITTO on that DK19..A really inexpensive but valuable add-on for your D500 body!! Also, I purchased a Tamon 150-600mmG2 at the same time I acquired my D500 just over 3 years ago, and I have not once regretted the marriage of that lens on my D500. It's lighter and has both more reach and lesser reach than the 200-500, which I also found quite heavy to handle!. I already had and use my Nikkor 18-70mm, a Nikkor 12-24mm, a Micro Nikkor 105mm, a 50mm f1.8D, and a Tamron 70-300 SP VC ..BUT the Tamron 150-600mm G2 pretty much stays on my D500 for the kind of shooting I do right now! And YES, I do occasionally do use flash on camera as a "fill" on contrasty subjects....BTW, I had my D7000 converted for use as 720nm infrared camera!..

In response to Gary's question on the Innorel AS 80C Tripod, it is specified on Amazon as an "Upgraded model" of the "RT 80C".. I am interested in buying the AS80c which is on back order at Amazon, but I have question that I have not seen an answer to. I would be using this tripod for my Nikon D500/Tamron 150-600mm G2.. On the top of this tripod, I see the base mount for a head for virtually ANY tripod head...there is a standard mounting screw sticking up through this mounting point with nothing more than a rubber gasket to keep a mounted head from spinning off the tripod mounting point. I seriously do not think that this arrangement will NOT keep a somewhat heavy camera and lens combo from spinning "OFF" of that stud. I've owned tripods in the past that have had "stop-screws" in addition to the center mounting screw..I might add that my common carry position for a tripod/camera and large lens is over my right shoulder..Am I missing seeing any small set crews that will keep a tripod head, like a gimbal that I use, from head spinning spinning off-of the top of this tripod mount without resorting to"Loctite"?..I have not found a way to access Innorel directly on line or via telephone to get an answer to my question! Otherwise the specs on this model at this price-point are enticing me to "buy"..

1.5 years since cataract surgery in both eyes, and I experienced the same as others.. happening over a long period of time our natural lenses yellow with time, especially when cataracts are present, This was confirmed by my opthamologist , as I also noticed this phenomenon myself, and was worried the "change" would show up in the prints I was making with my"new" lenses!..Actually I found my color perception and visual contrast became GREATLY improved with the removal of this previously un-seen yellow color cast. So happy I had early detection and treatment!!

Ihave a Vello Freewave Plus 2.4ghz radio remote purchased New on eBay from a reputable seller seller for $32 including shipping! Unit works GREAT !!..No issues good for up to 300 ft, and doesn't need to be line of site to activate. Nikon's top models have done away with the ML-L3 infrared system on their newer dslrs.

RAW ONLY for me since Photoshop version 5.0 (not CS5!) I found that RAW gave me the elasticity in edits that could have been near impossible for me back in the day.

I'm using an Epson R2400 pigment printer that was gifted to me, but needed an ink-pad re-set, and an external waste bottle, for a total cost of about 15 USD..Once I was set up I installed color profiles from Red River Paper for the paper I use most..(Matt) . I then contacted http://www.inkjetcarts.US to by their refillable cartridges, along with a kit of 9 colormatched 120ml bottles of ink with syringes for around $120.After several conversations with Russ Hardy at this company, I was up and running with this printer, and producing prints that cannot be told from those made with ink from Epson!..Additional bottles of each color are $14 ea. I cannot understate the tremendous savings and the un-believable technical support I've received, and I'm now into almost 3 years with this settup, and have made a few hundred prints from 5x7 up to 13x19"..I had a couple of snags in my learning curve, but Russ was always ready to jump in and give me guidance! He'll even call you back!!
