He’s a Galveston Boy isn’t he?
Nicely caught Voss.
Thanks Voss, same to you. Keep up the good work in the New Year!
Thanks to you too Fstop, your insightful critique has been helpful and put kindly, which is how it should be with us all. Good to have you contributing to the section.
I can imagine some tortured figures in silhouette along the bottom, turning it into Dante’s Inferno!
I can see why flowers help Veronica, this is the perfect example for the Season! Hope the recovery continues apace.
That really is excellent Don! There was no need to tell us which face was which Eve, the bold ‘chin up’ and shy ‘chin down’ poses say it all. If you’re still in touch with the lady you should send her the image.
That’s an attractive result! Is it something to do with Glowing Edges filter (I’m not familiar with what’s available in Elements).
Very nice result Erich. Good to hear you’re jumping from Lr to Ps and back again nowadays! Don’t forget ACR in Ps is Lr by another name. BTW, you haven’t told us what the lens is!
I think I’d remove the foreground figure (but you may have difficulty with that!) and the light beam, and then crop to just left of where the figure currently is, bringing the moon to a near central position (that I’m prepared to live with) but off-setting the tree, which is essential. You then have a quite wonderful scene. All just my preference of course, yours will be different. You’ve made a good job of achieving an image many would find daunting. Nicely done.
I like this one, it definitely has the feel of the title. Use it for next year’s card!
Good to see you posting Veronica. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
Thank you - have a good one yourself.
I agree with Frank, you’re in a very creative period Don. Keep it going as long as you can, we love seeing the results. This one I prefer to the Picasso lookalike, as you infer, it’s more realistic. Not just the textures you chose, which are perfect, but keeping the profile eye real helps too. I know the full-front/profile mix was part of his signature look but it doesn’t quite come off here. Your’s is more attractive. It’s never too late to become famous Don!
