For all interested, I contacted B&H and here is their response;
I'm sorry, we don't have any information about further Canon rebates, but they seem to offer them at least once or twice a year--we just administer them, so Canon designs the whole thing and gives it to us. I would think there will be an offer like this within the next 2-3 months, but I don't have any knowledge of such an offer right now.
So I guess we will have to monitor this after Christmas.
Interesting, thanks for your thoughts.
Have been waiting patiently for the Pixma Pro deals and figured BF would be a good time but have come up empty. Is anyone aware of special deals coming up on either of these printers, particularly the 1000? Thanks for any help.

Thank you for your response.
What I want is just to have the rings and holder to be able to use Cokin Filters. As you said they are more reasonable in price. As of now I could get them in December.
I would be interested in learning about the Color Checker Passport. Is software you have to process the photos afterwards?
Yes, they will hold the Cokin filters. The
Color Checker Passport made by X-Rite is basically a color coded card that you photograph at the beginning of your shoot or when you change locations. This one photo can then be calibrated so all colors in the following shots are the correct color shade. They run around $100 at X-Rite, B&H, Adorama etc.
I have 3 of these system and rings. (3 cameras 3 systems) Now I shoot in raw and use a Color Checker Passport which eliminates any adverse color shading. I also have other brand name filters as well as the Zomei. The Zomei is working just fine BUT I can't find a lens hood
with any of the available manufacturers out there. But to hold the 100x100 or 100x150 filters it works great.
I also ordered mine from China and had to wait anywhere from3 to 6 weeks which is just fine considering the low low price.
Last week there was a post for help with doing a panorama with a wide angle. This one, taken hand held with an 18-55 EF lens at 18 mm, has minimal PP in LR and is comprised of 8 vertical shots of the land with proper exposure, 1/80 f5.6 and 100 ISO, 2 rows of sky (repeated with different exposure) 1 pass of 7 vertical shots, 1/1000 f5.6 100 ISO and the second pass of 9 vertical shots, 1/640 f5.6 and 100 ISO. Each pass, 1st shot, was processed and synced with the remaining shots in the pass, then these 25 shots were merged as panorama in LR using the fill empty space and the final cropped. A little more fine tuning of the processing and I came up with this shot of the town of Bancroft Ontario Canada on an absolutely gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Nothing fancy about it just a little attention to detail and some patience to wait for the dark cloud to move to the right. Comments welcome.

Interesting, before I read the comments I was scrolling the photo up to crop the very top and decided to crop to the top of the mountain on the right. This left half the cloud but tended to create the natural top border. Just my 2 cents.
Hi again, I got very busy last night and did not have an opportunity to pass on the recovery information I promised. So, without further ado... Visit
https://www.hddrecovery.ca/ for more information. If you deal with Erkin, mention my name, Peter Curley. It probably won't get you a better deal but it's worth a try.
$500 CAD per hard drive and you only pay if data is recovered.
Normally 2 week turn around but that is Canada to Canada. Not sure about times from US or other countries.
Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery adventure.
I have an excellent place for HD recovery. They charge $500 CAD flat fee but only if they can recover the data. I have run 2 HD through them, both stone cold dead, and they recovered 100% of each drive. The first one took 4 weeks and the second took about 10 days. Unfortunately, I am at work so will let you know later today when I get home.
Sorry. 2 whole posts to your name and asking for cash only. Too many
red flags for this cowboy.
You might have tried shooting vertical. Looks like you had enough room.
