My iphone syncs all my photos to my dropbox...from there, I can save them to my computer. Just open dropbox on your iphone and start the process.

My Canon does self create a new folder after a certain number of shots. I only see the photos in the new folder when I view on the computer. That is why I asked. Happy Easter.

Yup Yup! I know that on another card I have in different camera, I have two folders, that I think the camera created itself. Thanks and hope you have a great Easter Day as well!

Once more......have you checked all folders on the card?

I have not created any additional folders on the card, and haven't shot enough on the card for it to "self-create" additional folders (if it does such a thing). As the card is viewed on the computer, all photos were present up to the day before. No other files/folders to click on to view. I have since re-formatted the card, so I'll shoot some with it today, using that same card, to see how it behaves.

I had a similar experience. A 3 month old 32Gig 90mb/s Sandisk Extreme. My vacation was the first major expedition for my new camera and this card. I took it out of my G9x and put it in my card reader, the day's pictures downloaded no problem. Back in the camera, i get the "corrupt card" message. Back in the card reader, all is well. Back in the camera all is well, too. Back to the card reader, "corrupt card" message there too. I cleaned the contacts, same random good/bad behavior.

Fortunately there was a Target nearby, the first stop the next morning. The evil card is now in the Gulf of Mexico.

Thanks Stu, that may be exactly what I do. Hard to trust a card when it's acted up, if that's what has happened. I'm gonna use another card and see what happens, and I'll clean the contact on this possibly problem one. But yeah, it might get tossed. I reformatted it, and as soon as I can, I'll shoot some photos to see how it acts.

LR6 came out before the 6DII and therein lies the problem.

But there's now LR 6.14 that will read the 6dII files. It's a free update, I'm running the stand alone version.

I bought LR6 in a box (not on line/ not cloud etc) it handles 7DII raw images fine as well as 6D raw, but I have to convert 6DII RAW to DNG in order to process them. It just doesn't open or allow me to import 6DMKII RAW images.

I'm running LR version 6.14, also not the online/cloud version) and it handles the 6d Mark II files fine. Rather than a card problem...it actually could be a computer problem. That's the trouble I'm having, these particular photos will not come up on the computer by inserting the card itself nor by using a card reader. But I was able to see them using the Canon Image Browser (have never had to do that before, never used that before) and able to download them that way onto the computer. LR opens and reads them just fine.

Just asking.....could the images be in a separate folder on the card?

Thanks for commenting Jim...but no separate folders on the card.

I'm not saying that you don't have a bad card, but I will say this. In all the years that I've been shooting digital images and all the cards that I have used during those years, I've never had a card failure. CF and SD cards are extremely reliable.

Agreed! I have never had an issue with a card in, um, 9 years.

Nothing wrong with the card, Lightroom won't use 6DMKII raw files

Before I updated to the latest version, LR would not read the files unless I converted them. Once I updated to the very latest, LR hasn't had any problems reading the files. But the issue I was having, is my computer never saw the photos, but did see all the photos prior to this particular shoot. And then when I looked for the files through Canon's Image Browser, all the photos were there, so I was able to download them all that way...just have never had this happen before.

I use the same camera pair with the same issue. Lightroom 6 will not use the raw files from the 6DMKII unless they are converted into DNG. I suspect that's your problem too. I downloaded the Adobe DNG converter, convert, then import the DNG files. It's another step but then everything works.

When I got the camera new, I downloaded the latest version of LR...and the update does allow the 6dMKII files to be read. Prior to updated to the latest LR, I too had to convert with DNG. But since the update, LR has no problem reading the MKII files, I've got the previous 12g's or so of photos on the card that are read on the computer and that I've brought into LR with no problem. I cleaned the contacts as some have suggested, but didn't get a chance to shoot any photos today to test things out.

I have the 7D MII & a 5D MIII. I frequently use the same card in the cameras. However, at times, the images are not always filed in the order I expect. Make sure you have searched the list to be absolutely sure they are not there. Have you contacted Canon? They may have a suggestion.
Good luck with the issue. Probably has a simple solution. I think it's unlikely that it is an issue with the card.
Mark

Thanks for commenting Mark. When I put the card in the computer, and all the photos on the card are brought up, and all are visible up to the day before, but none from that most recent (yesterday) shoot are visible, in the computer. However, when I have the card in the camera, I can go thru all the photos, just as I shot them. So, it's weird, but as you say, probably something very simple.

Thanks Bill, for the link! I'll check it out. Have no idea where the receipt is though, but I'll read through the link, maybe they'll still take care of it, if it turns out to be the card.

When was the last time you formatted that card in camera? I always format the cards in my cameras just before I start the shoot. It serves as a last-minute check that the card is readable by the camera.

I formatted when the card was brand new, and did so in this camera. I don't tend to format before shooting, and never have had a problem in doing so. I will try two things suggested here, by you and another...I'll clean the contact points with alcohol...AND, I'll format the card again to see what, if any difference all that makes. And if that makes a difference, I'll use the card to shoot my birds only, but will get a brand new card for anything important.
