Talk about nut jobs. Come on man, give it up. In this thread alone you have changed your position at least 4 times. Geeez. And wasn't it you that just a short time ago criticized name calling and personal attacks?

I am just going to have to refuse to continue to converse with you unless you can pull it together.

Here is something I am sure all you ignorant racist bigots can relate to. A rising star in your ranks...

The accusation that I am a Zionist and not a loyal American is as implausible as the idea that you are a true American patriot. Adios nutjob.

Gee, just two days ago he was your best buddy and you thought his arguments were spot on and reasonable. Some will say anything to make a point, heh?

Laughable you are Croce.

Go on doing what? Quoting and omitting the supportive links from the quotes? Quoting and dropping any further discussion of substance? Quoting and ignoring over, and over, and over again.

Quoting and seemingly by inference indicating you've somehow refuted the damning evidence that you take out of context (omitting links) and don't even attempt to refute?

I won't bother to collect all the "you're crazy", "that's wrong", and other non-replies. Everyone here knows who does this and how 'fruitful' such tactics are in forwarding conversation.

Nearly all the excerpts quoted above are valuable starts to productive exchange. What seems obvious is a concerted effort to put a full stop to the discoveries that are possible if we only have the courage and political will to take on the challenges.

I don't expect the divergent groups here could agree upon "fair play" rules of discussion and debate. From what I see, cheating the system of fair discussion seems integral to keeping the most urgent of subjects from being considered and discussed.

I was asked by Croce to "point out some of the more incredulous things" and then encouraged by Eugene to do the same. I think I did a really good job, right guys? I was not attempting to refute anything, just pointing out the absurdities as requested.

If those things are not incredulous to you I'd love to be a fly on the wall of your life - it has to be a doozy of a life and that is putting it politely. I could have pasted the entire post for each of those quotes but it would have meant posting almost the entire thread since much of it smacked of one form of insanity or another...

Of course I'll probably hear about the Zionist for that statement.

Here are just a few. I fully understand how this just goes right over your head and needs highlighting. These are very subtle and maybe just too subtle for some.

"So, the "Tea Party" stole the concept of tea party from the 9/11 movement, especially to take away from the 9/11 movement the message of overthrowing tyrannical government that would attack people on our own soil to set up a coup in government and a policy coup over domestic and foreign policies."

Huh!!!

"The original message of Occupy Wall Street was co-opted by media with the assistance of provocateur/anarchists to divert attention from financial fraud and currency manipulations. Disrepute of the Occupy Wall Street movement was manufactured to put a smoke screen over the Occupy message."

"In the case of covering-up 9/11, it is the opinion of many that prosecution for "criminal conspiracy to cover up the 9/11 crimes" is possible. I hope and work for the day when the records of these exchanges become legal evidence against those who are actively participating in the conspiracy."

"As you watch these two videos, ask yourself how muslims placed the explosives in the Twin Towers and in Building 7.
The BBC announced twice that this building had already collapsed--23 minutes BEFORE it was demolished by controlled demolition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NefExHDu3s In the chaos of 9/11, there would not have been time to rig for such a neat drop--just like an old Las Vegas hotel."

"If the Democrats would conduct the same purge of the Zionist offenders in the Democratic party, maybe the U.S. could withdraw from the Mideast turmoil and stop giving Israel $3 billion a year in military aid. If Israel does have a right to exist, they need to prove it without U.S. subsidies."

"As far as Jews in Congress, we need to keep Bernie Sanders, Ron Wyden and Alan Grayson. That would make Jewish representation just about match Jewish percentage of U.S. population."

"You missed the real point of my comment--that we need to purge the Zionists from Capitol Hill--those who manipulate the U.S. into war for Israel's benefit."

"Eric Cantor is a devoted Zionist who swears allegiance to Israel over the U.S.
My hope is this is the beginning of the end for Zionism on Capitol Hill.
Joe Leiberman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Charles Schumer and Diane Feinstein should be next to be voted out."

"They are sick and tired of the , give America away to the unwashed, un-productive, non-working, take everything you can get, bunch that support the so called president."

"Yes this is true, and that is why the republicans have no more legitimacy than the democrats or that thing that squats in the white house."

"Are there enough of we payers left to outvote the scum who take, take, take?"

I could go on but it would take forever...

So where did you get all of your "awareness" in a dark closet with some pinko college professor? Take your awareness and your PC and stick it. You make me gag.
Try some self respect, self sufficiency, responsibility for your own actions, go out in the real world and work for a living, it may be an eye opener for you.

Glad to hear something makes you gag, I was not sure you had anything inside that shell of yours other than hate and anger.

Yes, I am college educated. That is a negative in your world? Not too surprising.

I have plenty of self respect. Never in 45 years, since I was 16, have I ever been without a job, insurance, and I have happily paid my taxes to this great country of ours. I'd hazard a guess I paid more federal income tax last year than you earned in the entire year. I have raised my family, put my kids through college with zero debt, and have plenty saved for retirement but really enjoy my work so am having difficulty walking away. I have travelled the world and still do, and see the damage done by people similar to yourself. One of the differences between me and you (amongst many things thankfully) is I am not bitter, angry or fearful of life and the world around me. Feel free to spend your entire sad, pitiful, trivial life worrying about all that has been taken from you and what you fear will be. As I think I said in another post, the hate and anger put out there by people on this thread and in this forum in the guise of religion and politics is pitiful. So go and continue leading your small, pitiful, sad little life and keep on gagging.

I just love reading this stuff. You guys are the greatest entertainment the world has to offer. It is hard to believe there are people walking around really believing some of the stuff that gets written here.

Thanks for the laughs, keep up the good work!

This assumes that the vote is legitimate--and also that candidates for office are available and supportable who will promote a society based on justice.

Mass media forces our choices upon us. Had Ron Paul's message been featured like the messages of the other 'acceptable' candidates, he would have won by a landslide. Media marginalized--using a similar mob mentality appeal to that here at UHH--the Ron Paul positions.

What was the original message and positions of Occupy Wall Street? Most will remember anarchists living in the parks and making a trash and fecal mess of things. The original message of Occupy Wall Street was co-opted by media with the assistance of provocateur/anarchists to divert attention from financial fraud and currency manipulations. Disrepute of the Occupy Wall Street movement was manufactured to put a smoke screen over the Occupy message.

Same here at UHH. Ridicule and derision put a smokescreen over the mounds of evidence.

There is a pattern in all this. The players are easy to identify.

In the case of covering-up 9/11, it is the opinion of many that prosecution for "criminal conspiracy to cover up the 9/11 crimes" is possible. I hope and work for the day when the records of these exchanges become legal evidence against those who are actively participating in the conspiracy.

I'm surprised - it took until the second page of this thread for some loopy leftie to pull out the racism card.

I suspect you are only surprised that it took so long for someone to notice and point it out since you are so adept at veiling the anger and hate towards other people in the religious and political vitriol. Try a little self awareness on for size, it really can be very helpful.

This is not bad news for those with a reasonable amount of intelligence. The margin of victory was roughly 55% to 45%. That means there is still a reasonable number of sane, intelligent Republicans left on this earth - 45% of the primary voters in this voting district.

He has not a chance of getting elected in the general election since the rest of the voters with a modicum of sanity and intelligence, the majority, will send him packing. This is not TP vs. mainstream Repub, or Dem vs. Repub, but more about who and what we want to be as a country. The vast majority of Americans see that the TP is not even close. I know that based on general election results. We are better than that as a country. There is way too much cloaked racism, ignorance and protectionism in many of the posts in this thread, many of the threads in this forum, and in general by most of the ultra-conservative ideologues in this country. They use their religion and politics to promote this agenda, and the racism, and ignorance of our larger world, make a pretty sad statement.

Thanks to all for the generous comments.

I spend a lot of time on the water and am really looking forward to getting out with this camera. Whales, sharks, sea birds, mola, turtles and others will present a lot of opportunities this summer. I am going to have my hands full with that lens extended while bobbing around on 4 foot chop but it should be fun.

Excellent shots; sharp focus, good composition and nicely blurred background. This is a fun camera, lots of whistles and bells

Thanks tramsey. I am shooting mostly auto mode so the blurred background is just happenstance, I can't take any credit. I mentioned earlier I have been working at 1200mm off hand to develop some innate stability, but I am also very impressed with the built in image stabilizer. It is an amazing little camera for the money.

Very good results.  The SX50 is a great little camera for both still and video. Call Canon and get them to send you a copy of the manual. You can actually download it your self if you so desire. I let them send me a copy as it saved me time, paper and ink. :-D There is much more in it than the little manual that comes with the camera.

Thank you.

Thanks for the online source for the manual. I actually received a disk with the camera that had the full manual on it which is what I have been using.

I am a lifetime Nikon guy so I am learning a new camera/system but it seems to be fairly intuitive. Some of the functions would be better with easier access than having to go to the menu but like with most complex systems it is compromises.

Thanks Bob and Linda.

I have been trying to work at the 1200mm range off hand to develop some skill since I don't like carrying a tripod. The image stabilizer is really interesting and I think learning its tendencies is the trick.

I have been shooting with a Nikon D7000 and am waiting delivery on a 7100 this week, but I think I am really going to enjoy the SX50. It may be the novelty but I can't leave the house without it ;-)

Just received my SX50 and went out to experiment today in the garden. I think there is going to be a learning curve but it sure is a fun camera to knock about with.
