Go easy Erv, a little at a time is usually the better route.
Nice shots, I gotta get out too. 12 degrees in the Carolina's this morn.
They are available on eBay at reasonable prices once in a while. I've purchased a converted bridge camera for $175 and later on a converted dslr for $225.
Years of fighting with big brother was needed just to pump my own gas in my motorcycle. Finely got permissions when threatened with lawsuits for repairing or replacing paint ruined by a pump jockey that wasn't careful. Finally got proper permissions to pump but legally had to have pump jocky remove nozzle and set up pump. Most usually ignored that detail. It has been a REAL pain to not at least have the option of pumping your own gas. Ironically gas prices in Washington (where you pump your own) were always higher than in Oregon where you were not allowed to touch the pump. I was always told that it was that way due to who would be responsible for accidents while pumping gas. And to those who wonder there are NO full service stations. All they do is pump gas!
Yep I'm ready too! Been into single digit temps in the Carolina's and snow at the beaches.
-40, in Whitecourt, Alberta. It was amazing to me that the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales are the same at that temp. :)
Merry Christmas Erv and family !
You are definitely blessed Erv. Enjoy! 👍
Sorry to hear this Erv, glad you're up and around!
You didn't indicate any specific brand or model so....I actually like my "Lester Dine" 105mm. This was originally designed to be a lens for dental photography back in the film days. They were made in several camera mounts and are still available on eBay sometimes. I also use a 90mm Sigma lens for macro. I won't go into all the tubes, bellows, flash attachments and other accouterments I've acquired.
Longer focal length will render more working distance between the lens and the subject. I believe you mean "macro" photography.
Bless you and all you have done for this creature. :)
Speedy recovery my friend. Enjoy life for a while and take it easy.
Welcome to the forum! You have now witnessed some of the jerks that hover around here. With them you HAVE to spend hundreds if not thousands of $ for the very best there is or you are an imbecile and own nothing but junk. As you are "getting started" you've done great and you're learning. I have also purchased several pieces of junk and have had loads of fun with them! Some of us just aren't as well off as others.
The lense you have has many names attached from several suppliers. Get the adapter and have some fun. (It needs lots of light and is completely manual) You have a lot of learning ahead and this is a start.
