I'm still on Luminar 3 as there was a degree of doubt expressed from those that had upgraded to Luminar 4.

Is that all sorted or is there some question still over Luminar 4?

Sales are live through January 15.
A $10 discount on Luminar 4 with its awesome tools.
The price will drop to $79 for new customers and to $69 for owners of previous versions.

Hey folks -

This is a bit of an unusual request but I am looking for a good condition but dirt cheap wide/ ultra-wide lens to get me through a spell. My target is 35mm or shorter (my shortest currently is a 50). If anyone has an unused kit lens that fits the bill or a third party lens (e.g. 14mm Rokinon or an old Tamron 24mm), I'm interested.

Thanks in advance all

NG

I have a 14mm f2.8 Rokinon for sale. $200 plus shipping. A great manual focus lens for Nikon. PM me if interested

I need some advice. I pulled the GAS trigger today on a Nikon FF camera to replace my D7500. I'm not a pro. I shoot landscape, still life, and things that don't talk back. I have a full assortment of crop sensor lens,

I shoot a Nikon D750. I have this lens and it rarely leaves the camera. Many others on here have, and love this lens as I do.
Thanks, Boone.

I am selling this great lens because I am no longer using Nikon camera. I have used this in the past for great milky way images. It is a manual focus lens.

It is on sale at B&H for $279, regular price is $349. I am asking $200 plus shipping in contUSA.

Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 AF Overview

It includes a special chip that allows the lens to work with the camera's focus confirm, auto exposure, auto metering and auto white balance functions. With hybrid aspherical lenses, you will produce sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion and chromatic aberrations. This manual focus 14mm lens focuses as close as 0.9' / 28cm from the lens, and has a built-in petal-type lens hood. With some cameras, Shutter Lock must be disengaged on the camera's menu.

Special chip allows the use of camera's focus confirm, auto exposure, auto metering, auto white balance
Ultra wide-angle 14mm lens with an approximately 90° angle of view using an APS-C camera, for dramatic effects
Lens is constructed with two ED lens elements, one hybrid aspherical lens element and one glass aspherical lens element, for outstanding, sharply defined images

I am not sure if you are looking for a critique.
IMHO, I like the concept. I do think the person should be a bit larger and a bit more prominent. The light on the trail is where my eye goes to, the brightest part of the image. I would suggest burning that down, making the person a bit larger and a bit lighter, so the viewer clearly sees the person. Maybe even cropping some off the bottom of the image. The interest is in the person and the sky, I don't think you need so much foreground.

I love playing with photoshop and creating composites. You did a great job, just needs a bit of tweaking.

Good luck selling your 28-300. I've praised this lens several times on this forum. It may be the best one-lens made by any manufacturer. One of the best aspects is that it will close focus at all focal lengths. Shooting an object from 12 inches away at 300mm (or 450mm with a crop sensor camera) is as good as having a macro lens. When traveling, a person could eliminate every lens from a macro all the way to 300mm with this one lens.

Thanks so much. I agree and used it often. Now I am using Sony cameras. Just don't need t his one anymore.

I am selling my Nikon gear, as I am now using Sony. The lens is in great condition, some minor signs of wear, uv filter always on, lens clean. I did have to put a bit of tape on the hood as it kept falling off.
I am asking $600 plus shipping in ContUSA.

Also selling a Rokinon 14 mm F2.8 manual focus lens for $250

F-Mount Lens/FX Format
Aperture Range: f/3.5 to f/22
Three Aspherical and Two ED Elements
Covering an immense wide to tele range, the AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR from Nikon is a versatile all-in-one zoom designed for FX-format cameras. Helping to maintain high image quality throughout the extensive 10.7x zoom range is an advanced optical design that uses aspherical and extra-low dispersion glass to suppress aberrations and distortion. A Super Integrated Coating is also used to minimize flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy.

All-in-one zoom, covering wide-angle to telephoto focal lengths, is designed for Nikon F-mount FX-format cameras, however it can also be used with DX models where it provides a 42-450mm equivalent focal length range.
Three aspherical elements are used to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion in order to realize sharp imagery with accurate rendering.
Two extra-low dispersion elements greatly reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to produce greater clarity and color accuracy.
A Super Integrated Coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress internal reflections, flare, and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions.
Silent Wave Motor affords quick, quiet, and precise autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override. An internal focusing design is also used, where only the internal lens groups are moved during focusing, to maintain the overall length of the lens during use and to promote faster focusing speeds.

I have a carbon fiber tripod and last year bought a Fotopro E-6H Eagle Series Gimbal Head. It is absolutely the best head. It can be used for a long lens, gimbal or for landscape images. It folds completely flat and weighs a bit more than a pound.
I didn't buy their tripod because I already had one that I was happy with.
It is a bit pricey but well worth it as it will be the only head needed for all photography needs.
