I've had a time with this Galaxy collecting the data I think I need to get a real nice detailed image . I been referencing my handbook and taking suggestions from yall and I hope I'm getting closer to my goal. This has data from last year and this year to date @ 20s 30s and 45s L and 20s , 30s RGB so far . Guided on 30s and 45s so far so good.

Awesome Ed , I took advantage too . I worked on getting my mount back in sync and worked on AG , m81 is coming along . The clouds and rain has definitely made it a slow go . I wish you well with your new endeavor .

I've been researching Flats because mine don't cut the mustard anymore, I'm in the" no man zone" with my flats they're turning my background light blue. Now the process begins again of getting my SNR , exposure and gain to deliver a good Flat Brian . Thanks for getting me back on track , I need to stay focused on everything and not just worrying about the lxd55, phd2 guiding .I just love the challenge . I've backed off on multi targets to just focusing on one target at a time.

That's what I forgot , WB thanks Brian . My settings for my ASI174MM cooled are factory set haven't touched them , captured in Sgp 30s LRGB , guided for just under an hour on 2 nights a month apart so far . Hoping to get more opprotunities to shoot on this before it gets swallowed by a big Oak tree.

If it wasn't for forgetting how to get everything working at the same time and those darn clouds that just seem to mess everything up . It always happens when I get remarkable guiding , I might be doing a lil' better than I am . That's par for the coarse in this wonderful hobby. I'm welcoming suggestions or just flats out telling me how it is. I understand that I need to take some more flats with the correct focus since I got the new focuser and AF. They don't match , I tried to remove the dust mote several times. I'm fed up ! I'll get them the next time out Yall . It's coming along data used from what I grabbed earlier during the Madness in March and during the final 4. I didn't even miss a game !

I know that I was where you are when I loaded the driver for my qhy5-ll M but, after I followed the steps correctly . I plugged in the usb and viola after failure time after time . I researched your problem and they might have done away with the old driver and given it a new driver URL. I know they did for the QHY5L , it's worth checking out. SB

Wonderful tone , she's quite the adventurer. She also is not afraid to buff up , I'm sure she gets whatever she wants and she's mentally strong as well as physical.

Thank you fellas and Ed I usually do that in processing but, forgot how to do that in AIP4win. I need to get back into my handbook. I will surely give the flats a go, I hope m flats are worth a darn and hopefully that'll be all she wrote of that. Brian I ran for 30s exposures guided , last year I could only do 20s and never had that white line before and last night it wasn't in any of the data collected . I'm working on getting my guiding and mount up to 180s for deeper faint fuzzy objects. After running into the leg of the tripod, it's been a long road to get it to recover . " I HAVE TO GET IT BACK TO WHERE IT WAS" it's doing better and it's getting there. Time is not on my side !

The learning curve on focusing with a new Ha filter is been quite challenging but , with determination and willingness to "get r dun" pushes me to try , try , and try. After talking with Ed on the 6th I was able to get a short 2 channel sequence ran before I was in a tree. I keep having issues with my tube running into the tripod leg since reattaching my dec motor and putting it on the right side, it only does it during blind solving . I'm still working on removing the light line in the lower middle and the ampglow , any ideas as to what I should try differently in the processing of this?

Bill , I started with 6.2 when I 1st received the camera, it works with ascom 6.3 update , I had all kinds of trouble when I updated to 6.4. I went back to 6.3 and it works fine. Systems driver & native wdm high compatibility driver. Type: www.qhyccd.com /file/repository/driver/ qhy5 ll c "driver 151028zip". Then download ascom vol. 3 setup vol.3 zip Unzip both , Then R. click run as administrator on both . Then plug camera usb cable into computer and it should install. If not you forgot a step , it took me 2 times because I didn't follow the steps to the letter, do just as I have written and it'll be glorious ! QHY drivers are the most ANAL DRIVERS I've ever dealt with. I started with w8.1 then had to reinstall when I got the newer computer with w10 update and it works fine. Stepping Beyond
