I just got it few days ago Tamron 45 USM VC 1.8. Super sharp, fun to work with. having prime with Vibration control (new generation good for about 4 f stops) is awesome. I also have Canon 35 USM IS Macro prime lens. Next on my list is a lens around 100mm with IS.

I just had couple hors session with my 77D. I know it now by heart, at least most of it. What a fun factor when you have the right equipment for shooting. I was taking pictures for the brochure for my company. Almost every shoot is a keeper.

I just spend couple hours using my Tamron 45mm USM VC, my favorite lens. I be honest, my job would be much easier with my Sigma 17-50 USM IS, but the fun factor and the quality of my pics force me to go with Tamron. No regrets hear, I just love this lens!

For years I enjoyed using zoom lenses. But ever I switched to Canon's 24MB Cmos (Especially in my new camera, Canon 77D) I use prime lenses more often. I enjoy their sharpness as well bright apertures. I went little prime crazy, being few of them in the last couple months. I currently own 24mm f 2.8 Canon, 35mm f2.8 IS `Canon, 45mm USDD VC Tamron, 50mm f1.4 Canon, 85mm f1.8 Canon, 90mm f2.8 Tamron, 105mm f2.8 Sigma. I use them more often than my zooms.

About couple months ago I purchased my Canon 77D. It took me a while to choose between 77D and 80D. I went for new technologies in 77D vs 80D, as well smaller size. Do to my illness size as well weight matters to me. I think the camera is awesome. Ok it should shoot 4K and be dust proof, but any other than this, this camera is a winner. In couple months I had done over 2000 shoots, zero problems. How can you beat that? Most of my pictures go to brochures and Websites. This camera has enough resolution to do fine job for me. I'm being Canon man for over thirty years. I respect Canon's cameras quality and reliability. In thirty years only one camera, Canon 650 broke on me. I fixed and used it for couple more years, selling it to my friend, who enjoy it for another few years. I those thirty years I always enjoy at least one Canon camera, sometimes two. If you are a owner of the Canon 77D, I would love to hear from you. Thank you for reading my post. Jack.

How about Tamron 45mm prime USD VC? I just got one and it is awesome. More fun than my Sigma zoom 17-50 USM OS. I think prime lenses are making comeback. I should know, I own 24mm, 35mm, 45mm, 50mm, 85mm, 90mm and 105mm among few zoom lenses.

I have the same setup as you but never considered the T/C because the lens is already slow and I figured with the T/C it would not be practical to use it in anything but bright sunlight. However, having said that, it might be worth having it on hand for these bright Az days :) It is a bit pricey though. Let us know if you buy or rent and what you think.

Simple solution Kenko 2x teleconverter. I just got one for my 150-500mm Tamron and it works very well.
