I am neither a Sony or Canon user. So I have no dog in this fight. ( I use Fuji and Pentax ) I welcome the competition between all camera brands as this will provide better products for us all. However, I somehow suspect that Sony should recall the words of Admiral Yamamoto after successfully attacking Pearl Harbor: " I fear we may have awakened a sleeping giant."
When I was a kid in the third grade, my father used to walk with me every morning to school and then walk home with me when school was out. That's because he was in the third grade too.
I have been accused of being. Trumpite when I did not vote for him. I still consider him to be a vulgarian, and would refuse an invite to eat with him or drink a beer with him or play golf with him. Politically I consider myself a moderate and independent. I did not vote for him or his main opponent or lesser candidates. Yet I have long since lost patience with those who criticize him personally and pay no attention to the ideas he holds with his advisors. I do not considerki myself wealthy or a one percenter. I hold no resentment for anyone of great wealth so long as they have earned it honestly. Nor do I feel inferior that I was not born smart enough, nor took some great risks, to earn great wealth. In our system of capitalist economics, no one acquires wealth without taking a lot of people along with them. Those who dream of an Ideal World, and the age of Aquarius, are welcome to their opinions. Those who sanction socialism will find that my presence is absent should they ever take control. And I will damn well take my money with me, such as it is. And anyone who does not like this can just kiss my backside!
My last reply was directed to foathog who believes that some incomes are obscene and that wealth inequality is immoral. I wonder if he possesses the degree of exophthalmos as AOS and Bernie?
Thank you for your snarky remark. I have come to expect that from those of the left side of the political spectrum. Those who realize their arguments possess little sense or logic are reduced to name-calling and similar insults.
Please explain to us at what point wealth becomes "obscene." My definition of it is only when it is acquired or earned by dishonest means.
I recently read that the number of people leaving California for other places is rising every year. Unfortunately, many are coming to Texas. Anyone contemplating this should realize that we still tar and feather troublemakers.
Of the many things I have lost in my life, the one I miss most is my mind.
This reminded me of a great quotation from Yogi Berra. He wants said that a switch hitter could bat from either side of the plate. And that he was amphibious.
I have seen that same photoshopped image with a different message. It said oh, stop killing alligators to make Gatorade! Surely only a dedicated Democrat would carry a sign like that! (:-)))
I can live with all of those except one! And I'll leave that to your imagination.
I have both the 60 and 80 mm Fuji macro lenses. There is a considerable difference between them, far more than you might realize at only a 20 mm difference. The 60 will close focus to about 6in. and the 80 to only about 10 or 11 in. The difference in size and weight is huge- the 80 being much heavier and bulky. I suggest that before you decide rent both and compare to see which best fits your needs.
As Larry the Cable Guy would say, "I don't care who you are, that's funny!"
