For those who are proficient in LR/PS, and daily users who want whatever updated features, they will remain on Adobe subscribers.
For I own a copy of LR/PS and only use less than 20% of their features, I prefer to use the less-brainer AI selections. Of course, l would still use LR/PS for the features that are not available in those competitors.
For instance, I find Topaz Denoise AI, Sharpen AI, Remask 5, Alumina AI work much better than LR/PS.

Use the proprietary software that comes with you camera. It will take care of the white balance while converting RAW to JPG. And you don't even have to pay for it.
That's why for those who have to pay monthly, there are plenty of alternatives and LR/PS are losing values.
If an image after LR and PS, further processing will only diminish its beauty, then it is done deal.
But I find the other way round; those plug-ins can always enhance the image after from LR/PS.
So my workflow is LR(batch, lightings), ICE (for stitching) and then via PS plug-ins(Topaz Denoice, Sharpen, Adjust, Remask, and/or Lumina), then PS.
Anyone think/do differently?
Of course, if an image after LR and PS, further processing will only diminish its beauty, then it is done deal.
But I initially batch job my project with LR mainly for white-balance and lightings, I can always further enhance my photos with PS plus Topaz, Nik-collection and/or Luninar plug-ins which can do better, faster and easier job than PS.
So anyone think/do differently?
I don't use LR for Cataloging, because it will lose its tracking if the folder's name is altered. I use Faststone for keeping my stock, and include all my external programs.
Moreover, I find LR is very good at batch and Hightlights/Shadow processing.
Currently and most of the time, I only need LR for its White-balance, Lighting functions and Raw-Jpeg conversion. Then I process the image much easier and faster with the plug-ins of Topaz (Adjust AI, Denoise AI, Sharpen AI, Clean, ReMask) and Lumina AI. Do you agree?

Did you consider that maybe the autofocus isn't always accurate, or it chooses to focus on something that you would choose not to.
My old D610 can let me move my single focus spot to certain area of the screen; so I assume most newer cameras can do that or even better.
On single or center spot focusing, I can focus, lock and then reframe.
Besides, when I focus manually at center/green dot, I have little or no play at all to refine the focus. Therefore, why not just use the feature the camera provides?

The problem is most UHHers Brag about having the latest whiz bang AF lens then brag they only do manual AF.
Incredibly silly.
I don't understand this part, why people do manual on autofocus lens. Perhaps all new lens are made auto while they can't change their habit. Do they intentionally ignore the green/center dot indicator?

Then why use manual focus?
The camera could have done it better and faster to get the green dot than anyone can manually.
It is simple. When you don't have an automatic lens.

On my Nikon, when I use manual focus, when the subject is sharp, a little green dot in the bottom left corner of the viewfinder lights up💚. Sometimes hard to stay on the subject while also looking for the dot😒😒😒😒😒
yeah, We older people don't trust our eye sight accuracy anymore. I don't understand why people don't use the camera's focus indication(green dot, or center dot)?
I think whatever Topaz module would not take a raw file. Therefore the choice would be how to export the LR or CameraRawFilter result as Tiff, Jpeg, of PNG in order to obtain better result from post processing with whatever Topaz module. Please correct me if I am wrong.
looks like the same one. who is Amelia?

I have my Canon AE-1, Ftb, and Yashica Mat-124 in a curio cabinet,

Well, thank you for your interest. Shall I set up a close bid of ($50+postage) for both. I will contact the highest bidder at the end of this Sunday. Thanks again.
I found these two film cameras, do they have collectors' value or just paper weights.
Thanks for your comments
