Normally in this case it involves a section where they constructed a temporary widening of the highway and the ground support is not strong enough for the big rigs weight thus have them stay on the permanent supported road or keep replacing the temporary strip when big rigs tear them up.

I like number 2. Number 1 probably would have been my pick if you could eliminate the strap hanging below the music on the right side. A little distracting. Nice work.

Stopped there for a day on a cruise and found what I thought was a jewel of a city. Wife and I decided to take the local rail system clear to the end and back to see how the locals lived. Very clean. Really enjoyed the Queen Victoria market. Wish our local market was like that. Fond memories on that trip.

As I was looking at the first photo my eyes were drawn to the house/shed in the background and I wondered what if that had been taken from the opposite direction what would have been the results? Then I got my answer in photo three. Like the front of the windmill and more inclusion of the watering trough. Like them both but three is my favorite. Fine job.

Last week. My phone rang two different times. I checked the caller ID and it showed my name and my phone number as the calling party. I already talk to myself enough so I ignored it.

I have used a Tokina 11-14mm 2.8 for about 4 years and my realtor has never complained. Use it on a Canon but they probably make it for Nikon. Was not that expensive compared to Canon’s comp lens.

Nice set, do you have a photo of the tomb itself?

The way the left is acting the word “indivisible” is a joke. It seems to be their goal.

I started to bypass this photo, for some reason way back in my brain, but went back and clicked on it and WOW is that probably one of the sharpest photographs I have seen posted here and the content of the photograph is compelling. Thanks for posting. I am envious.

I have for the first time heard that one should not delete images from the card while it is in the camera. Because it corrupts the card? I have been doing this daily on long trips to weed out bad shots and to avoid being overwhelmed at the end of the trip. Also, when you use Lightroom, you are supposed to download images via Lightroom and Lightroom is not an easy way to deal with a huge number of new images. Anyway, I will download and then reformat the card in the camera, as suggested, if that is truly the right way to go.

I have discovered that if I delete in camera before downloading I might miss something on the 2” camera display that I would pick out, crop in, and save on the 27” monitor. Unexpected surprises do happen every once in a while.

Always one better. Had friend whose front was in one city and back yard was in another. One side yard was in one county and the other side was in a different county. Property tax time was a nightmare.

Two comments, 1st is to ask what is the structure on the lower left side of the photograph? It appears to be lit by the sun which is behind it. Weird. 2nd, if it were mine I would crop about at least 50 percent of the sky out. Make it appear to be more of a panorama. Just my opinion.

I may be too picky but... in looking at the photo in download the first thing I saw was that the right knee was sharper than the right shoulder. Actually the right knee and the dogs nose are the sharpest and from there back it starts fading. Not knowing specifics of settings but my guess might be to use a higher number aperture so the focal length can bring more into focus.
